It’s now 4+ weeks since revision surgery and healing is still going well! I had my one month follow up today and Dr. Wayne said the surgery was a success (9.5/10). I was not expecting perfection considering my previous surgery, but I know that he worked hard to give me the most perfect result possible. I am so happy with the current state compared to my previous nose, and breathing is better too. I still have a bit of swelling in my tip, more so on my left side than the right, and where the fascia graft was placed. He said that will go down with time as well. Overall very pleased with my results and looking forward to the continued healing.

Wow very pretty from the front and the side view. Did he use grafts to bring the sides of your nostrils down? They don't look flared from the front any more. That's exactly what I need done and he did a beautiful job. I can hardly wait for covid to simmer down so that I can have an in person consult with him. I am from Canada. Your revision already looks great and you are only 2 months out. Over the next year you will see even more refinement. Stay safe.

Thanks so much! Yes, there was grafting to help with my retracted nostrils. My nostrils were very asymmetric prior to surgery, and there is a small bit of asymmetry remaining but I expect that to even out as healing progresses. Good luck and stay safe!

Are you still happy with your new nose? Thankyou! You look wonderful

Hi and thank you! I just had a recent follow up with Dr. Wayne and we both agreed that my right nostril needs a touch up. There was asymmetry before the revision, which was corrected quite a bit with the surgery but it retracted quite a bit as I healed. I’m scheduling an in-office procedure to correct this. Otherwise I’m very happy with my results. I had a complex case with lots of issues and am glad that I chose him for the revision.

Thankyou so much for replying. It’s so good to hear he stands behind his work. This helps a lot with my decision. I’m also a complex case and choosing a new surgeon has been so hard. I’m waiting to hear back from them for a consultation! Thankyou! I’m so glad your happy!

Post cast removal and today

Updating to add photos of the day of cast removal on 11/4 vs. today 11/9.
Healing seems to be going really well! It’s been a pretty smooth process. Just focusing on healing and seeing a decrease in swelling day by day.

Your profile is very pretty and can't believe there is hardly any swelling considering this is a revision. Do you know where he had to put the cartilage grafts? Could you please post a front view.

Thank you! The swelling is most apparent from the front so I'm holding off on posting a front view until at least 4 weeks post op, but I'm happy with how it's healing. Cartilage was used to fix a collapse on the right side of my bridge and he said he did most of the work in the tip. My tip is/was the most swollen part after surgery. He said it was a lot worse than he originally thought it would be after opening it up, and almost had to use rib, but he was able to use septum and ear cartilage. Hope that helps!

Day after and photos!

Today was my day after follow up with Dr. Wayne and I have the before and after photo immediately after surgery. It’s better than I could have hoped for and exactly what I wanted! He said that it was a lot more complicated inside when he opened it up and he almost needed to use rib, but he was able to use septum cartilage and ear cartilage. Now I’m just starting the healing process and I’m excited to see when he cast comes off 11/4!
