3 Months Post-op - 100% Worth It
WORTH IT
I don’t usually do reviews but I found this website really helpful when looking for a surgeon so wanted to share my experience.
I broke my nose a number of years ago (twice) which resulted in a large bump and breathing issues. To fix the problems I had a septorhinoplasty with another surgeon. Unfortunately, the surgery didn’t go very well and to cut a long story short I ended up with a deformed nasal tip which looked like a ski slope on one side of the nose. It bothered me for years but I was worried that further surgery either wouldn’t work and would be a waste of money or that it would make the problem worse. After years of hating how it looked I decided to have a revision rhinoplasty.
Given the earlier bad experience, I was a lot more cautious in finding a surgeon this time around and spent months doing research and looking at reviews/surgical photos. I finally made a list of three surgeons and had an online consultation with Julian. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and really carefully considered what could be achieved during surgery. Julian wasn’t at all pushy and, if anything, tried to make a case for not doing the surgery. He explained that he couldn’t guarantee the results of the surgery and that mine would be particularly complex because of the previous surgery and the nature of the deformity but said that he would do his best. I went with my gut feeling and decided to go with Julian.
I met with Julian and Emma before the surgery and Emma went through everything carefully and answered all my questions. She was brilliant and was always available both before and after the surgery and, despite all of my questions, she never made me feel like I was being a pain (although I probably was).
I was nervous before the surgery that it wouldn’t go as well as I’d hoped but when I woke up afterwards Julian said it went really well. I’m now three months post- operative - I didn’t want to do a review too early incase my nose fell off but Julian did a brilliant job and I’m over the moon with how it turned out even at this early stage. The scar is almost impossible to see and, although there is some minor swelling, it is barely noticeable and is improving all the time. Julian is clearly a very talented surgeon and I can’t believe the difference in not only how my nose looks now but also how I feel about my appearance generally. I couldn’t be happier that I had it done. My only regret is that I waited so long to get it done. For anyone looking for a surgeon I couldn’t recommend Julian highly enough.
