Trust the process, train your brow hairs and trim them regularly. I’m finally at a place where I’m ok with my eyebrows.. yes, I wish they were actual brow hairs but I’m so much happier than I was prior. There are still some gaps that I’d really like to be filled but due to my lack of donor hair I do not think it would be wise for me to get another transplant. I did write to Dr. Epstein’s office this week and did not receive a response back yet so we’ll see what they recommend. I’ve been using moustache wax before bed to train the brows overnight and I actually trim the brows when they have wax on them so I can easily see which are the long, out of place hairs.
After 6 months I’ve changed my review to worth it!
Best of luck to all of your keep your brows hydrated, do not pluck them, use scissor and derma planning razor to shape them!

Hi, How many graft did you end up getting? And you mention you have a YouTube channel, what's your name so I can see your progress. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I am thinking of getting as well after so many years of plucking my eyebrows.

Would you be willing to share the cost? I’m looking to go out of town for the procedure as it is way too expensive in Los Angeles

Ugly duckling stage?

Lilmouse85
I read on google that there are two stages prior to the final outcome:
1. Heartbreak
2. Ugly duckling
I’m 2.5 weeks post op and I think I’m somewhere between. The hairs are falling and the ones left are uncontrollable resulting in a patchy look. I’m getting married in a few days so I’m hoping by then the situation is at least manageable for the makeup artist.

Hi, it's very normal to have the implanted hairs fall out within the first two weeks. It takes about 3-4 months for them to just start growing back (which is the ugly duckling phase I think you mean). Then, by 6months-1 year, you will see final results (essentially how you can expect they will look long-term). It looks like you have post-inflammatory erythema (the redness) and I can see the sites where they placed the grafts. I would be trying to sooth the area with moisturizers to Leo promote the healing of those sites and to reduce the redness. Dr. Epstein is a reputable doctor so Im sure if you contact his clinic for guidance on how to handle your situation they will assist.

Thanks for our reply! I've been trying to smooth the area as soon as i was given the okay do to so. I've reached out to Dr. Epstein's office and they recommended a prescription to help heal the PIE.

Hi there! I hope your wedding was amazing! I’m on day 18 almost 3 weeks post surgery and it’s exactly how you describe it. It’s a horrible stage where my eyebrows are super dry and I’m shedding tons of hair. How are your eyebrows right now? Are your hairs starting to grow?! How exciting! Could you upload an update? Thank you!

Sorry for the very late reply! I don't receive notifications when someone comments for some reason which is very frustrating. There are some gaps, and the hair doesn't grow flat but overall I'm happy with the result.

1 week post surgery

I’m slow to heal but I knew this going into the surgery. The expectation is you should be looking normal with slight bruising around Day 5 but I’m still pretty bruised and day 7 and up until I received an email from Dr. Epstein this morning I was not going to work away the crusts from the brows. After I received an email stating that I can start trying to wash them away I gently patted them with water and cleaner, rinsed and applied moisturizer to soften the dead skin making it easier to remove.
Here is a picture of day 6 and 7 with 24 hours so you can see the crusts!
