Dr. Steinsapir is truly the best

I am so very grateful that I found Dr. Steinsapir and his Medical Coordinator, Faith. I, like so many others that have found him, had unsatisfactory eyelid surgery from another surgeon.  The surgeon who performed my services was in another state, so I was a "destination patient". For my "consultation", I sent in two crappy selfies that I took and then corresponded only with his coordinator from that point forward, until the day before my surgery in which he spent about 15 minutes with me.  \From the time I paid my money to the day I was in his office, there were questions and concerns that I had that he pretty much blew off and left unanswered. I look back and don't know how I could have gone through with the surgery but I did.  When I got home, I knew I was not satisfied with my results. I spent hours upon hours Googling to get answers to my questions and hoped and prayed that I just needed more time to heal. All of my Googling efforts repeatedly brought me to the RealSelf site, which is where I discovered Dr. Steinsapir. I read the answers he provided to people in the QA section, and his responses stuck out like a sore thumb in the very best way. He gave thoughtful, articulate, meaningful and detailed responses to people's questions and concerns. This was a sharp contrast to almost all the other surgeons who provided quick, somewhat "canned" answers. I immediately had a strong feeling about Dr. Steinsapir.  I went to his website and read his patients' reviews. I had tears in my eyes reading them because their stories were so much like mine. I decided to send in my photos and requested a consultation. Faith called me and we talked for almost an hour. I couldn't believe the attention and caring concern I was getting compared to what I had experience with my surgeon (and other surgeons that I had consults with). I immediately knew that it was work the time, money and effort to go to Los Angeles to have a personal consultation with Dr. S.  I cannot express how grateful I am that I did. Dr. S met with me for almost 3 hours to assess my eyes and face and talk about how we would move forward and answer my questions and concerns. Ive never had such a feeling of comfort with a doctor in my life. I went in to talk about my eyes, but he was able to assess my face as well, and suggested that I do a full enzyme to remove all the built up filler in my face that had moved around. I had known for a while that my face didn't look "right". It looked like a rectangle, not a heart. None of the other doctors that I saw recognized this. After the enzyme treatment I was blown away. My face immediately deflated and went back to a heart shape. I extended my stay so that two days later he could add volume to my temples and upper face with Restalyne. It made a great improvement to the hollowness that I had in those areas.  Dr. S has a client for life with me and I will never let another person touch my face or eyes again. I wish he could fix my eyes tomorrow, but I know I have to wait to fully heal until he can fix the mistakes made by this other surgeon. But now I have hope, knowing there is something that can be done, which is priceless. Faith is there for all the patients if needed which is such a comfort. I went through all of this completely alone - I did not tell a single friend or family member, which has made this experience even more lonely and isolating. I have the support of Faith, who knows these stories all too well. I cannot express my gratitude enough to her.
