My Renuvion Experience!
LoveBug1988May 10, 2018
So after researching for years all of my options to fix the lax skin on my belly after pregnancy. I finally came across J Plasma. Now called Renuvion. I’m going to keep track of my experience here as I know it’s relatively new and hard to find reviews. :)
THE PROCEDURE: I was pretty nervous but also excited. Everyone made me feel super welcome. Dr. Gould and her staff were amazing. I was given a Valium and also used nitrous oxide through out the procedure and overall is was very tolerable. There were some instances where I would get jabbed. Maybe a spot where the tumescent didn’t make it or was wearing off. I’m not sure. But it was handled very well. Dr.Gould took care of the issue immediately. It was easier than I anticipated so that was great!! If you’re worried about pain or needles...don’t be. It’s really not that bad.
After the procedure I was brought to a room for some R&R, given lunch and a compression garment. Instructed on how to care for myself after the procedure and off I went!!
THE REST OF DAY 1: Gradually as time went on I got more and more sore. Assuming the numbing was wearing off. I took some extra strength Tylenol and it was bearable. But not gone. Sleeping was no real issue. I actually felt better lying down and not moving.

Day 1:

I’ve been keeping a little notebook of what I feel each day so here goes:
Immediately post: Very sore. Unevenly swollen. Bruised. Tight feeling. Otherwise not terrible... extra strength Tylenol seems to be fine. Very leaky from points of entry. Specifically lower right.

Day 2: Can’t stand up straight. Super tight and sore. Pain isn’t so bad when I’m not moving. But whenever my abdominal muscles engage it’s much more painful. So I’m trying not to move too much. Walking slow and kind of hunched. It’s very tough getting the compression garment off to use the bathroom. Quite painful. But it’s barely been over 24hrs so...
Additionally I got a little bit of profound on my tummy as well. And some halo to address the stretch marks. So...I would imagine that my recovery will be a little bit worse than if you got just Renuvion/j plasma alone.

Last week I had my arms done. So far much better. Plan to wear the compression sleeves for at least a month and not doing any exercise that raises my heart rate more then 90 BPM. I think the Drs are still learning. Thanks so much for posting your experience. Do not feel like the only one. Will wait a year and if not better explore ways to improve abdomen.
