My Renuvion Experience!

UPDATED FROM LoveBug1988

2 years later!

LoveBug1988
Ahoy! Just thought I would share a picture from today. Just about 2 years following my Renuvion procedure.

All swelling is obviously gone. The skin is still pretty tight! Some minor laxity. But maintaining an incredible improvement. When I bend over, nothing sags down like it did prior.

You can see some stretch marks. But In the summer when I’m tan, they blend better. And in the right light! Lol. But I wanted you to see real life so! Here ya go!

Honestly I’ll likely think about another halo treatment at some point to try and even them out a bit more. But as far as skin tightening goes... still very pleased. Especially since a TT was not even an option for me.

My stomach looks like yours & I’m 4 weeks out. Did you allow this to heal naturally with only massaging? And how long did it take to resolve?
June 16, 2021
I basically just allowed it to heal naturally. If you have the bruising like I did, use arnica gel. It helped A LOT. The doctor who did my procedure didn't think it would but, arnica is amazing for healing. I swear by it. You can buy it at any pharmacy. Hope that helps!!! :-)

Thanks so much!!! My bruising is totally gone. All I have left is the deep creases above my belly button. How long did it take for that to go away?

Your results look great. What's Halo treatment?

How long do you have to wear a garment after?

Looking fabulous! Your healing is coming along well!

Hi who was your doctor ?
September 17, 2018
Hi! Dr. Gould. Fairfield, CT
September 20, 2018
I’m planning on getting this done now that i see your results. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I have post pregnancy tummy that I hate so much! I’m tired of looking like I had a baby. I have a consult in my area next week. One question I have is how does it work on tightening fatty areas? I have some very small amounts I can’t get rid of so curious if it works on both the skin and the fat underneath? Thanks!
September 20, 2018
Yay!!! So happy my experience helped you. :) I believe it does “melt” a small portion of fat. But it’s not the focus by any means... the skin change is way more drastic in my experience. But I think you can do lipo first and then renuvion so you could think about that!!!
September 20, 2018
So be super honest, are you happy now with the results? Oh and when can you start working out again after the procedure?
September 20, 2018
So I currently have mixed feelings. I am insanely happy with 90% of the overall outcome. But you can see that spot above my belly button is still healing. So that’s not my favorite. But it is definitely improving. So while I’m not super happy about that spot, I do think it will heal in more time and be great. :) I’m just impatient. Lol! And then in my lower abdomen there is a slight lumpiness that I didn’t have prior to the surgery. It seems to change a lot so I’m hoping it’s just lingering swelling. And most people would think I’m being too nit picky. But. It wasn’t there before. So. It bothers me. But I’m optimistic that that will pan out and be fine also. I think it’s crazy how much the procedure improved my overall laxity though. I don’t have much to complain about. As far as working out I think 4-6 weeks is recommended. I waited 4 weeks to start working out again.

So I have my surgery schedule for belly button hernia repair along with lipo and Jplasma. I’m super excited and nervous at the same time. Thanks again for the guidance. Because of you is why I am doing this. Your results are stunning to me. I’m so happy for you!!!
September 26, 2018
Yay!!! That makes me so happy!!! I’ll check in on you :) when is it scheduled for?
October 25, 2018
Hey there!! So surgery has been done and I am 10 days post op. I have a question for you... how did you keep your skin tight under the garment and foam pad? I’m doing eve thing I can to keep it from wrinkling as it heals but it’s not always staying tight. Thanks in advance!!
October 25, 2018
Hi!!! How did it go!?!? The only spot I noticed wrinkling on was above my belly button. Unfortunately where I have the slight crease now. Not sure if it’s related. She did the most passes there, so I’m not sure if it just got over tightened or what. I didn’t use a foam pad, I folded up a soft burp cloth nice and flat and put that over that area underneath to add extra pressure. And it definitely helped at the time. Any other spot I had slight wrinkling is not wrinkly at all anymore. Once the swelling goes down that majority of wrinkles should be gone. I would not expect them to stay, unless you have a spot that received extra trauma as I had. Not sure if that’s helpful. Did you start a post yet? I want to follow your experience :)
October 25, 2018
Everything went great! Oh ok!! Thanks for the help. Yeah check out my profile.
November 5, 2018
Hey, I just posted another picture with an update. This one makes the skin stretching more apparent. It’s only been three weeks so hoping the results begin to show with the Jplasma.
September 26, 2018
October 15th. I’ll post my experience as I get closer and you can follow my recovery. :)

Update!!

LoveBug1988
Okay I had a request for an update, so here it is. Still some funky swelling nice and below my belly button. Varies a lot, so I’ve been told it is likely just some localized swelling that is lingering and should have no permanent effects. Looks best first thing in the morning. Hoping this is true as I am not the biggest fan. I know I have had a huge improvement, so I shouldn’t complain. However, I really don’t like the lumpiness. :( we shall see! I have my 3 month follow up in 3 weeks.
If you’re wondering anything specific. Please ask! :)

I was just logging in to ask if your results really were as amazing as this Instagram post suggests: https://www.instagram.com/p/BlqmWkiAdVQ/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=j8zq50lxstfw
My neck is lumpy too and I’m not happy but they say it will go away. Did they tell you how long til your lumps go away?

July 25, 2018

The crinkles above bellybutton are crinkles that returned? And the bumps underneath belly button is the swollen skin?

July 25, 2018

3rd question! Is it that much less skin to squeeze (as it shows on instagram post?

July 25, 2018
So the lumpiness below I’m told is swelling. It’s different everyday and seems to be becoming less and less everyday. Slowly. But I can tell. So I can believe that it will subside eventually. (I’m told it could take up to a year though...) I’m praying it happens sooner.
July 25, 2018
My worst area was right above my belly button. So that’s where she did the most passes. I personally think that is why it’s taking longer to heal there. But that’s just my own opinion. The “crease” you see is like a sudden stop in swelling. I don’t know how else to explain it. This area is also going down more and more on a daily basis. So I’m assuming this took will eventually even out. But who knows how long. I also had a hematoma there. So I think that’s attributing to the lengthy healing time for that section. But it does improve every day. So I’m optimistic. :)
July 25, 2018
And yes!!!! That Instagram post is accurate. Crazy right!?!? I’m more swollen in that photo than I am now. So I can squeeze a liiiiiitle bit more. But still not much. I can post a pic if you want!!! Are you thinking about getting your stomach done too? Or are you worried about how your neck is healing?
July 25, 2018
Just read your review!!!! I didn’t realize we already talked. It had been awhile. Sorry about that!!! So happy to hear your incisions are barely noticeable!! I know you were worried about that. :)
July 25, 2018

It is absolutely amazing! So happy for you, sincerely. Honestly I do not see any difference in my legs and arms. My neck yes but they put PDO threads in (a thing I did not want or know they were doing...)

July 25, 2018
What’s a PDO thread?
July 26, 2018

I hardly know myself... i don’t want to be angry because what is done is done but I only wanted j plasma. It is a dissolving suture that is supposedly like sculptra is what they told me...

July 26, 2018
Ugh. I would’ve been annoyed to. They shouldn’t have done something unnecessary that the didn’t discuss with you. But you’re right. It’s done now. Do you have your torso date booked? How are you feeling?
July 27, 2018

My neck still hurts a LOT. Body is sore but not too bad. Torso not booked yet.

November 16, 2021
Book MLD sessions, it really helps to remove those hard lumps..

September 12, 2018
Did you get those post surgery massages to help with the lumpiness and swelling?
September 12, 2018
I did not. It wasn’t even recommended to me until a few months out when I questioned the light lumpiness. I did light massages myself but I wish I did the lymphatic massage. Even as just a precautionary step. It’s a weird thing. Because I think the skin looks obviously tighter. But. There are some lumpy spots I didn’t have before. They change. So I’m hoping it’s just lingering swelling. But we’ll see. I’ll put an updated pic today!
