I went to Dr. Christine Gould last week and had an EmSculpt treatment. I did the treatment on my abdomen, and it was truly amazing. It feels like waves of contractions, and was very comfortable, and even felt good after a while! Dr. Gould says I need four treatments to see the full impact, but after just one I am already starting to see results. I can't wait to also do the treatment on my butt, which is supposed to be equivalent to 20,000 squats! Wow! Love this establishment and the lovely ladies who work here.
So after researching for years all of my options to fix the lax skin on my belly after pregnancy. I finally came across J Plasma. Now called Renuvion. I’m going to keep track of my experience here as I know it’s relatively new and hard to find reviews. :) THE PROCEDURE: I was pretty nervous but also excited. Everyone made me feel super welcome. Dr. Gould and her staff were amazing. I was given a Valium and also used nitrous oxide through out the procedure and overall is was very tolerable. There were some instances where I would get jabbed. Maybe a spot where the tumescent didn’t make it or was wearing off. I’m not sure. But it was handled very well. Dr.Gould took care of the issue immediately. It was easier than I anticipated so that was great!! If you’re worried about pain or needles...don’t be. It’s really not that bad. After the procedure I was brought to a room for some R&R, given lunch and a compression garment. Instructed on how to care for myself after the procedure and off I went!! THE REST OF DAY 1: Gradually as time went on I got more and more sore. Assuming the numbing was wearing off. I took some extra strength Tylenol and it was bearable. But not gone. Sleeping was no real issue. I actually felt better lying down and not moving. Updated on 12 May 2018: I’ve been keeping a little notebook of what I feel each day so here goes: Immediately post: Very sore. Unevenly swollen. Bruised. Tight feeling. Otherwise not terrible... extra strength Tylenol seems to be fine. Very leaky from points of entry. Specifically lower right. Updated on 12 May 2018: Day 2: Can’t stand up straight. Super tight and sore. Pain isn’t so bad when I’m not moving. But whenever my abdominal muscles engage it’s much more painful. So I’m trying not to move too much. Walking slow and kind of hunched. It’s very tough getting the compression garment off to use the bathroom. Quite painful. But it’s barely been over 24hrs so... Additionally I got a little bit of profound on my tummy as well. And some halo to address the stretch marks. So...I would imagine that my recovery will be a little bit worse than if you got just Renuvion/j plasma alone. Updated on 12 May 2018: As yesterday went on the pain seemed to be lightening up slightly. So that’s nice. Still very swollen. Don’t look like myself at all. But again. I had 3 procedures done and the profound causes some bruising and the halo causes lots of little pin point dots. Day 3: I can stand up straight again. Wahoo! I can walk almost normal again. Still crazy swollen. Totally sporting a mild fupa right now. Ha! Not sure why the swelling migrated that low but hopefully the swelling goes down soon because I’m not in love with my “new body” so far. I know it’s only been a couple days but. Ugh. Talked to the Dr. she said it’s all normal and basically told me in the sweetest way to calm down because it had only been 3 days. Lol!!! She’s right. I’ve been wearing my compression garment constantly. And it doesn’t hurt to take off like it did the first day. Day 1/2 was definitely the worst. Everyday gets better. Updated on 13 May 2018: Day 4: The pain is super minimal at this point. Belly feels kind of numb. Definitely still swollen and now it’s getting itchy!!! Skin looks tighter for sure. But it’s swollen so I’m not sure real results yet. Still covered in the dots from the halo treatment. They’re turning into tiny little scabs now. Expecting that to last another week. Updated on 13 May 2018: Day 5: itchy!!! Less swollen then yesterday. The swelling goes down a little bit more every day. The improvements everyday are very encouraging. :) Hubby asked to see today so I took my garment off to show him. His response? “Oh yeah babe!! I know it’s swollen but that’s looking real good! I think it’s gonna be great.” So that was definitely awesome to hear!!! I’ll post a few pics soon. Updated on 16 May 2018: Day 6: slightly itchy. Not so bad. Feels a little bruised underneath so there is a dull pain I guess but it’s not an issue. The halo is starting to flake and fall off. Still swollen some. One of my incisions which was steri stripped looks so good. Definitely won’t leave a scar. One is kind of sore. Hopefully not infected. And the bottom two where the majority of drainage came out of have scabbed. Bought some Neosporin to help with the scarring. Hopefully it’s not too bad. The incisions are very small. And she lined the bottom ones up with the “grain” of my skin if that makes any sense. Updated on 16 May 2018: Day 7: Itchier than yesterday. The halo is flaking so I’m attributing it to that. Skin is still swollen... was told this was mostly from the profound. But also that all three procedures cause swelling. Swelling gets worse as the day goes on. Updated on 16 May 2018: Day 8: Itching is settling down. Halo MENDS are falling off all over. Expecting another day or two of this. Swelling is going down as well. Also expecting another week or two until normal again. Saw the Doctor yesterday and thinks I’m healing very nicely. :) minimal pain. Mostly just at the incision sites. I had 4. The top two look like they definitely won’t scar. They were steri-stripped shut. The bottom two were left open for drainage. Both have scabbed over. One looks like it might scar slightly. And the other one I’m thinking should be fine. We shall see!! Updated on 17 May 2018: No real updates. Swelling is continuing to go down. Halo is continuing to flake off and reveal new skin. Pain is super minimal at this point. Not an issue at all. Here is a picture of one of the incisions. I think it’s healing great. I’m not expecting a lasting scar at all. And it’s only about 1/4” long. You can see a little bit of the halo in the photo as well. Planning to post my before and after photos once that is all gone. Updated on 25 May 2018: The swelling is going down a lot. When I wake up the swelling is very minima. But as the day goes on it gets worse. Skin still seems semi loose underneath. But can’t really tell final results yet. And the final final results I think can take up to a year! But regardless. Im hopeful of an improvement :) Lots of flaking!! Updated on 25 May 2018: An area above my belly button is significantly more swollen than the rest of my stomach. It’s firm. But also squishy. I felt worried about it so I called my Doctor. Going in tomorrow. This area was more swollen than the rest from the beginning. But now that the swelling is starting to go down, that area stood out as worrisome to me. Updated on 25 May 2018: It’s a hematoma. She drained a bunch out. And I’m now on antibiotics. It looks a lot better after drainage. But also still swollen. Expecting that to take a couple weeks. She says it will not effect my final result. I hope she’s right. I’m very worried about it. Updated on 25 May 2018: Day 13: The hard/firm areas on the hematoma are turning squishy. Assuming it liquefying which is good as far healing progression. But thinking I’ll need it drained one more time. :-/ Updated on 25 May 2018: The halo flakes are almost all gone. Hematoma is softening...but still present. Might be little bit smaller? Might ask her to drain it again since it’s almost all liquid now. Thinking it may expedite it’s healing. With the exception of the hematoma...it’s CRAZY how much tighter my skin is. Updated on 11 Jun 2018: Whelp. It’s been 1 whole month. I still have some swelling in areas - you can see in my photo the minor “unevenness” but it goes down more and more every day. And you can see the slight bruising/bulge above my belly button. That is where the hematoma was. Also goes down more and more everyday. So while I am not completely done with the healing process yet...I did promise a one month before and after. So here it is!!! Updated on 11 Jun 2018: I’m not sure why it automatically cropped the photo... here are a couple more. Updated on 25 Jul 2018: Okay I had a request for an update, so here it is. Still some funky swelling nice and below my belly button. Varies a lot, so I’ve been told it is likely just some localized swelling that is lingering and should have no permanent effects. Looks best first thing in the morning. Hoping this is true as I am not the biggest fan. I know I have had a huge improvement, so I shouldn’t complain. However, I really don’t like the lumpiness. :( we shall see! I have my 3 month follow up in 3 weeks. If you’re wondering anything specific. Please ask! :) Updated on 12 Sep 2018: Here is a photo of me 4 months post!! Updated on 24 Feb 2020: Ahoy! Just thought I would share a picture from today. Just about 2 years following my Renuvion procedure. All swelling is obviously gone. The skin is still pretty tight! Some minor laxity. But maintaining an incredible improvement. When I bend over, nothing sags down like it did prior. You can see some stretch marks. But In the summer when I’m tan, they blend better. And in the right light! Lol. But I wanted you to see real life so! Here ya go! Honestly I’ll likely think about another halo treatment at some point to try and even them out a bit more. But as far as skin tightening goes... still very pleased. Especially since a TT was not even an option for me.
I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! Christine is amazing and the best of the best! She is honest, so nice and actually cares about her patients. Other specialists I’ve encountered they’re in it just for the money but Christine is the opposite. She is so intelligent and so compassionate and I recommend anyone and everyone to her. I had coolsculpting done on my belly by her and can see the results already a day later. Her pricing is by far the best and competitive against others. The whole group at this medical spa are the best. They’re all so friendly and everyone there made my overall experience more than excellent.
Christine Gould is an amazing doctor and a wonderful person. I went in for an initial consultation, initially focused on my weight. Blood tests revealed my hormone levels were very out of whack, and we've taken steps to correct that. With regular weigh-ins and her support and encouragement, I've lost 40 pounds. I have continued to care for myself with hydrafacials, and my skin now looks terrific as well. I highly recommend a visit. Love this place, Dr. Gould and the staff as well. I'm finally feeling like myself again.
I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Gould. She is compassionate, professional and amazing at what she does. Her office and staff make you feel comfortable and right at home. I would recommend anyone going to her for any procedure.
Dr. Christine Gould is amazing! In three laser hair removal treatments, my skin is no longer dark and the hair is disappearing more and more each day. She has extensive knowledge in the newest equipment and strives to get you the results you want fast. I am so happy that I have met Dr. Gould because she is amazing, sweet, and talks to you like a friend. I would recommend her to anyone because of the results I have had! :)
Found exactly who I was looking for when I went to Dr. Christine Gould . Her expertise are amazing ! She has guided me over the last couple of years in what she feels would be the best steps in erasing some of the sun damage that I have done to my face . Glad I listened to her advice .
I'd been considering Ultherapy for a few months, and ultimately decided that the expense (and potential discomfort) would more than justify the expected results. The procedure took about an hour and a half and was somewhat uncomfortable in certain areas, but nowhere approaching the horrific pain I've heard described by others. It was quite tolerable. I had it done a week ago and am already seeing and feeling excellent results.
I am not even two months out, and already have amazing results! I did my lower stomach, and low handles, 4 hours in total. Minimal discomfort. Well worth the time and money. After treatment I felt sore and numb, but nothing terrible. It was as if I did a tough ab workout. I would recommend this treatment to anyone
I went to see Dr. Gould for the Coolsculpting procedure on my stomach and flanks and Dr. Gould advised that I should not have coolsculpting done and instead have the Sculpsure procedure. I was reluctant because I didn't know anyone who had any result with this procedure but when she said I was Guaranteed results with this procedure and that I may actually get fatter with the Coolsculpting, I went along with her recommendation. It was extremely painful and expensive. Dr Gould was so good at convincing me that I spent $4000 that afternoon. To add insult to injury I went back six weeks later and Dr Gould in my opinion was enlarging the before photos to make it look like there was some result compared to the after photos. Then her secretary told me you can't see the result and you can't feel the result but it shows in the before and after photos!!! Well I have to question the validity of the photos based on this statement. I believe Dr Gould had to pay for this very expensive machine and that was the only reason I was talked into and I believe lied to doing this Sculpsure procedure. It was highway robbery. If I went there to have this procedure done it's one thing but I didn't. I went to Coolsculpting that I had seen friends with results. This was abosulutely positively in my opinion no result. Stay away from Sculpsure and in my opinion any doctor that Guarantees results with the new procedure.
Our Patients love BBL for the face, neck, chest and hands especially. We like to tell our patients to do one and see how you do. Additional treatments can be done. One treatment is good, two are better and 3x a year can be great! Along with great sunscreen, Vitamin C and skin care. BBL is a wonderful anti-aging treatment. Hope this helps
Fibroblasting and the Plasma Pen is up and running at our practice and our patients could not be happier! Looking from your photos / skin type you look like a good candidate. It really is terrific for helping laxity in the mid face, jowls and jawline. It also can help pigmentation concerns as well. Plasma Pen has been a win win for all our patients experiencing laxity in any area of the face or body. Final results can be seen around the 16 week mark.
Profound RF or Plasma Pen do a wonderful job of overall tightening and lifting the skin. They ignite collagen and elastin building and have a wonderful way of tightening the skin. Especially in the jowls, jawline and upper lids with Plasma Pen. Not all Plasma Pens are reputable. The Louise Walsh Pen is the best. Both treatments have 3-4 days of social downtime and worth every penny. Hope this info helps.
Knees can sag as a result of aging especially when estrogen levels decline in women. Profound by Syneron Candela is a great treatment for this area. It has a 100% response rate with the company and it does a wonderful job of creating hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin to give the spring back into the skin and tighten that tricky area above the knee. Hope this information helps.
In our practice we have had good results preforming AquaGold/micro tox treatments for blushing. Its a quick treatment thats very easy and yields a good result without any risk like other treatments.
