Not Worth It.

I am on week 8 after receiving renuva filler to my lips. The first 3 weeks my lips were swollen to the point where I could not leave my house and now they should be growing. At this point the swelling is gone and they look like I’ve had nothing done. I’m very disappointed. This cost $2000! I’m very healthy so there really is no reason I can think of on why this didn’t work for me.

Renuva takes THREE MONTHS to work. the doc should’ve explained this to you.

It has now been almost 3 months and barely anything has happened. I have decided to get pdo threads.

Renuva is not meant for the lips, it's meant for areas where fat normally exists. Restylane is coming out with a new injectable called Kysse. Voluma is also a good choice. PDO threads are also not a great choice either. If you want to do that then go with V-Y Lip procedure done by a Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Leif Rogers in Beverly Hills does an amazing job!

I see some improvement but certainly not $2000 worth. Did it ever get better?

I actually got more of it put in my lips over 3 months ago and it barely did anything. So I spent almost $4500. Not happy at all. But my surgeon is doing Traditional fillers etc for me for free to make up for the poor results.

Ouch. $4500 is definitely a lot to to have spent to barely have anything to show. Can I ask who your surgeon was? Are you LA? Asking as the price seems high. I can say your lips looked quite even. Sadly traditional fillers won't last.

I see a marvelous difference. Picture 3 is the very swollen, Picture 2 is before...is this correct? And photo one is the post injection/post swelling final result? Is that correct? If so, I think they appear lovely and welcoming. Your original shape is retained with a pouty fullness. I am a 58 year young woman with fairly full lips - olive skin and lip color is very light pink so I wear mights and brights in lip color and / or glosses. I am a sengence/ buyer the 24 hour lip color but my daughter uses Buxom from Sephora and it gives an illusion and a little plump in real time with an ingredient that kind of gives the lips a zip dang type of tingle....so you could try those. I think your work done is perfectly balanced and appears so natural. Just right! ENJOY!
