Juvaderm Voluma Update

WORTH IT$1,600
So it's been almost two weeks since my Voluma injections and I'm really happy! It gave me a nice overall lift, volume to cheeks, under eye hollows much lessened, and marionette lines more shallow and even got a little "Jowl" lift! I am very happy with this procedure and recommend it with the caveat that you make sure the professional administering is trained and has the "eye". I may go back for a little Juvaderm around mouth/marionette lines and call it a day. I'm curious to see how long it lasts! It does change your face shape ever so slightly, so be prepared but overall I highly recommend this treatment! I've added a photo from today.

Looks great! Can u tell me where they placed the voluma? Was it mid face? I wasn't so lucky with mine. My $ down the drain and I'm disappointed. I'm glad your experience was a good one!
She put the Voluma just along the top of my cheekbone under the eye. She tried to go as high as possible to address my concern with the eye hollowness. She sectioned off my face with chalk(?) in a sort of X/Y axis before injecting. She also stepped back and reviewed from a distance during the procedure, much like an artist does when painting a canvas! :). What happened with your result, Deetee?
Mine was injected high on the bone on the outsides of my face causing indents under both eyes. It makes me look tired. I'm so upset about it.
:((. Definitely not what I hoped for. Yours looks great! Wish I could rewind and start over!!
Can you research here and go to a new provider?
You look great !! I really don't think you need a facelift ! Why not look into something like ThermiTight ( I just did that for my neck / jawline and dare I admit a "waddle" / very happy & maybe some type of surface skin treatment ? I've seen friends with face lifts and I feel like a combo of these less invasive treatments looks better / and I agree w you on the fillers ! Don't go Crazy Doll :)
Marci14, I will! Thanks for the idea. Going to research it now. :)
Deetee123 / you should check with another qualified esthetic Dr ! You may be able to massage it downward a bit ( after warming the area ?) ~ I just had it too and it does accentuate the and create more depth in the eye area but I don't mind / I will be getting one or two more syringes / As well as adding more volume to the cheek bones I will ask about filling the outside corners of the eyes a bit ! Unless you had more than 2 syringes total I think it should be easy to adjust / Good luck :) I Love it !
Do you have any non smiling pics? I'm considering this procedure as well. Thx.
It looks great by the way :)

I will be 54 next week. I'm blessed with pretty good skin and genes but menopause wreaked havoc on my face (and belly, but that's a different story!!) I am getting a facelift next year and wanted something to tide me over. I made an appointment a a medical spa for juvaderm and Botox. When I arrived for my consultation, the nurse - whom I loved, recommended Voluma. She felt that I'd get a much better overall result and a more youthful appearance. She said she could inject 4 vials of juvaderm and I'd be ok with the result but the bang for the buck was the Voluma. It was more than I wanted to spend that day but I went to her, the expert so I decided to go for it! I am so glad I did! My main concern was the hollowness of my tear trough but the Viluma addressed a lot of that and the lift I got in my cheeks made such a difference!! I was shocked. Sometimes we can't see what we need, we just know we need something! She numbed my cheeks and she sectioned it off with a chalk like substance and injected one vial on each side. She also did 8 units of botoxnin my forehead and 8 units under my eyes. I wasn't a believer but I am now. My biggest fear is that I'll end up looking like one of those older women with waaaay too much fillet and Botox in their face! I want to age gracefully. I'll never be 20 or 30 or even 40 again but I can still be elegant and fight the good fight!

You look so great! Thank you for posting your review and your pics!

How was the procedure? Did you have any pain during the injections or after? Any swelling?

Hi! I had no pain. She used numbing cream and I felt a little pinch. She was very careful and studious and I had almost no swelling!

Glad to hear it! What sort of questions would you recommend those who are considering doing the same procedures ask their doctor?

Congratulations! You look great & not overdone at all.
Thank you! I can really see a difference today. The nurse said in about a week I'd love my results and I do! I'll post a new pic in a bit!
The Voluma alone is all you seem to need. Your face doesn't look like there's anything much to lift: just a little Volume loss, common in women in our age-group. Time has been kind to you, overall!
You are so sweet - Ty! I should post my side profile picture! It's def in need of help. I'm already in touch with Dr. Bray's office in London. When I'm ready, that's where I'll go! But I've got a good year until then. I'm in that place in life where I am also trying to reduce stress, and live a softer, gentler life but hat requires a lot of work to get there! :)
I can so relate to you. I want to get fillers and have gotten sculptra, which I love. Although it doesn't gives the immediate result of volume xc. I like you, am afraid of looking like some of the woman I see on tv and in real life. I am also concerned that given the price of volume xc how long does it really last. They say up to 2 years. so does that mean 6month to 2 years? Id love to try it but I know scluptra lasts a long time (at least with me it has lasted years). But if xc only ends up lasting me a year given how expensive it is it wouldn't be worth it to me
Hi! I am so sorry for the late reply - I didn't see this! It is holding up well. I will post some followup pics! I am probably going to buy a package my dr office had and do some voluma along my jawline and do some juvaderm around mouth and marionette lines. I really want a facelift but I need something to tide me over until then. :)
so how did the voluma hold up for you at this point? does this stuff last?? thank you!
Hi! It has held up. I'm not sure it's going to last 2 years but if I get a year out of it, I'll be happy. I'll post some more pictures next week - I'd actually like to see my own side by side progress! :)
