WORTH IT
54 yo female, no kids, lots of weight gain and loss over the years, total 123 (11 in the last two days since surgery). He also did a monsplasty (was size of a DD bra cup). Absolutely no pain!!! I am taking 1 T3 and antibiotic every 6 hours. What I did find was that I was nauseous and have absolutely no appetite yet. My procedure was paid for by the provincial government because I had so much weight loss and kept the weight off for 3 years. By the way, I don't diet - rather eat whatever I want, whenever I want and how much I want. Because of that I didn't obsess about food and could procrastinate about eating as well - a much healthier, non stressful response to food. I think this is what skinny people do naturally. If you're going to get this done, realize that not everybody is going to experience great pain. If it wasn't for the drains (which I hate!) I could go back to work on Monday (it's now Friday).

I found out some stuff in my follow up visits - 1) he didn't have to repair any tears in the muscle wall so I'm not dealing with any pain from that and, 2) they gave me a long lasting pain killer to keep my pain under control for the first three days. As a result, I was able to keep any discomfort under control by taking 1 T3 every 6 hours (when I took the prescribed antibiotics).
Drains are gone (thankfully for my laundry) and I'm just wearing the binder 24 hours daily. There's no dressing and the paper tape he'd put across the dissolvable stitches has been removed. Now I just have to wait for the stitches to dissolve. I'm really hoping the swelling goes down. I'm definitely bigger now than I was first few days after surgery. BTW, I lost a total of 18 lbs.

I am just going to have my TT next month, A little apprehensive. DId you have liposuction as well? If you don't mind me asking, what are puppy pads?
Wow, you are doing fantastic and so quickly. Try to take it as easy as possible for at least the first 2-4 weeks. Even if you feel good remember your body is healing.
