this pics are to show the CO2 carnage lol... I failed to mention in my title that I had fractional CO2 done at the same time.
Did you have the blephs and CO2 under total anesthesia or just twilight?
Twilight. Sedation and pain killers.
Wow your results are fabulous!! I'm scheduled for upper/lower at the end of June. Do you know on the lower eyelids, did he just reposition the fat pads instead of removing them?? Did he re-drape the muscle and tack to orbital bone?? And lastly, did he remove any excess skin under your eyes?? These are the things my surgeon has indicated will be done to my lowers and I'm trying to find someone who had their lowers done that way too. Again, you look great!! Congratulations on the wonderful results!!
I believe I had all those things done you describe. He definitely repositions the fat, gets rid of excess skin and mentioned detaching and reattach in muscle/fascia I believe.
Sorry spellcheck, detach and reattach muscle, ligaments and fascia.
That is SO good to hear!!! Sounds like my surgeon is on the right track :) His before and after pics also look really great, so I felt comfortable with him on the first visit. Now if I can only get results as beautiful as yours I will be SO happy!!! Oh, and I've done the Co2 laser too and that was rough.. Well, it looked rough, but wasn't very painful at all. That's what most ladies are telling me here about eyelid surgery, that it looks worse than it hurts...
I just had Contour TRL laser 2 weeks ago and I don't have your improvement, my skin texture is much better but not your kind of improvement you look that you are in your 30's, so happy for you.
I act like I am in my 30s anyway. He did help me alot for sure.
You look really great, easily could be in early 30's so the discomfort etc was well worth it.
You had a great PS with great results so enjoy your lovely refreshed face!

Love my results. The procedure is not painful at all with sedation nor after. However, my eyes were irritated for some time and I only got relief with eye wash and eye drops. Best to have those items on hand. I always had dark circles which became harder to cover as I got older. Now I do not have to wear any concealer which is great. I feel much better about my appearance after the surgery. I really feel it was worth the money, the time off work and the time away from exercising (which was the worst drag- 3 weeks).

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! How much time DID you have to take off of work? Was it enough?
I took about 11 days off. My eyes were fine but it really wasn't enough time to heal from the CO2 laser. I still looked pretty bad.
I've heard that CO2 is just about the hardest part. Kind of wishing I'd done it now, but oh well. Thanks for the clarification!
Yes you look great! I am having in done May 30th. Uppers and lowers and CO2 under. Was the CO2 painful? I'm worried about the recovery for that actually. How did you take care of it? Ointment and cold compresses? TIA.
It was uncomfortable for sure. They give you thick ointment to keep on your face till it peels off. It oozes and looks awful as you can see. I only took maybe 5 pain pills total. I didn't use cold compresses but I believe they are ok. It is hard to be stuck at home. Get everything you need beforehand. I had a reaction to something and took two courses of steroids (usually take only 1 course) and a second course of antbiotics so my recovery wasn't typical. i am so glad I did it.
OK great thanks. Glad you are on the road to recovery. My husband will take me to the appointment and then take the next day off too.
Good luck!
How long did it take for you to be fully recovered from laser? What did you do to protect your face from the sun?
Thanks
Thanks
Wow, a long time. Months for the redness to chill out. I used to wear Oil of Olay 15 spf and makeup with 15 spf. A few months after my procedure they took a 3d pic and I already had sun damage. I mountain bike and am outside for 2 to 3 hours doing that 3 days per week. I was wearing 30 when biking but now I go with higher spf. I put 30 on even to go to work now. I dislike sunscreen (shiny finish) but I have to use it. I really have sensitive skin so I am still looking for the right products.
Aside from redness, how long until your skin was recovered?
It's been over a year now. I really can't remember sorry. I had milia pop up for about 9 months. Kind of distressing. But I didn't get facials like I was supposed to which likely would have helped.
