Had a Panniculectomy covered by Insurance but paid...

Had a Panniculectomy covered by Insurance but paid for the additional Tummy Tuck so as to not have 2 different surgeries. I weighed 214 lbs day of surgery. The PS removed 21.5 lbs of skin. I am not sure of final outcome of tummy tuck but having the panniculectomy to remove the large pannus I had is well worth it. I kind of wish I would have opted to have the tummy tuck at a different time once I lost another 25 pounds. Don't get me wrong, I am still not far enough along with my tummy tuck to be able to give an honest opinion whether what I am expecting is going to be acheived. It will take 6 - 12 months before I know the real result. All I know is I have way more freedom and movement to continue with my exercising and getting to the healthy place I want to be. :)

Most positive human being you will ever experience being around. His English is not the strongest but if you are patient and listen to what he is saying, he is truly a very knowledgeable PS. My experience thus far has been positive and I am hopeful for a great outcome. ***UPDATE*** So my outcome is definitely not what I wanted. I have a strange roundness to the bottom part of my stomach area and I have dog ears. I am very unhappy with the final results and do not recommend this surgeon. I also did pay A LOT of money for the tummy tuck which I was told he would be doing muscle repair and DID NOT get done. I feel as though I was ripped off. I will be seeking another PS in the future to fix all the mistakes I have been dealt.
