Definitely Recommend for Double Eyelid Surgery

I always felt that my eyelids had too much excess skin, and when I rested my face, I looked grumpy, tired and unfriendly. I wanted a higher and more defined eyelid crease, which I believed would help enhance my looks and overall appearance. I had been considering this operation for many years, but felt that surgery was quite a drastic step. Earlier this year, I began to notice that my eyelids were becoming even more droopy, and realised that this problem would only get worse as I got older. I have Asian eyelids with an inner fold, but have a natural double crease and also some asymmetry. I thought about going to Korea to have the procedure, thinking that a surgeon here in Australia would not be able to give me the results I wanted, or they would not have had much experience with the variety of different types of Asian eyes.

I did my research and came across Dr Ellis Choy. I viewed the before and after gallery on his website, and was impressed with how his patients looked. In particular I liked how he had a separate category for Asian eyelids, and that he seemed to specialise in this procedure. At my consultation, Dr Choy carefully listened and understood my concerns, and thoroughly explained to me the operation, including the risks. He asked me detailed questions which reassured me he could provide the look I wanted and that my expectations would be in line with the result.

My surgery went very smoothly. Throughout the procedure, I was made constantly aware of what part of the process was being performed. I felt comfortable and at ease. Nurse Julia was extremely kind, both during the surgery and at my post-op visit when she removed my sutures. Siobhan was another member of the team that was very friendly during my visits, and professional in her assistance and organisation of the whole process.

The surgery was only a little over a week ago and there is still a some swelling, particularly on one eye. Even so, I’ve since already had many positive comments and compliments. But the main difference, and greatest impact I have felt, is the genuine boost of confidence this surgery has given me in myself. I feel my looks have been enhanced and my eyes finally look the way I have always wanted them to. My only regret is that I did not get this operation sooner, as the entire process from start to finish was immensely less nerve-racking than I previously believed it would be. I highly recommend Dr Ellis Choy for those looking to get this procedure done.
