I've never really noticed my nose until after I turned 18 last year. I'm currently doing a final art foundation year at college, and I feel that it would be best if I get my nose done before I head off to uni. I constantly think about my nose and it gets to me every day. I really believe I'd feel more confident after I get my nose done.

Thank you! I disagree though, as I think my nose draws attention away from my eyes and other features. I just want to get rid of the bump, bulbous tip and straighten it out.

Thanks! but my nose is asymmetrical and I think it looks too big for my face. Of course I will, but I'm looking for improvement, NOT perfection!

You have to follow your own heart on this. In my experience, most friends and family members won't want you do change your features in any way. If you do go through with it, make sure you choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done many, many successful rhinoplasties and can show you lots of before and after pictures. Here's a list of questions to ask at consultations.

Thanks so much for your support. Yeah of course, that's really true. There's a really good hospital in my area called Spire Dunedin. The nurse there was really understanding, and I'm looking forward to the first consultation in a few weeks time.

I've seen many before and after photos, and its important to have realistic expectations. Not all rhinoplasties are successful or worthwhile, but I'm prepared to risk it!

I've spoken to several friends and family about my nose. Most say that I shouldn't go through with it, and that I shouldn't change who I am. Only a couple of friends agree that I should do what's right by me. I've always lacked confidence in my appearance, and I really hope everything goes smoothly when the time comes.

Thanks, this was really informative. I think I'll ask my doctor about this issue before I go ahead as I don't want the outcome to go like this. I'm sorry you had to go through this after your rhinoplasty and do worry about the risks a lot. But I don't believe cosmetic surgery is "stupid" or vain, and it is important to be aware of the risks and be realistic. I believe choosing a well licensed surgeon will reduce the risk.

So I'm new to this review site and I've started posting about my journey. I've received a lot of feedback from members who are all very supportive but say that I don't require a rhinoplasty or that it's too risky. Whilst I truly appreciate all feedback, I'm surprised that many say that I shouldn't need to get it done. My personal concerns about my nose are; deviated septum, bulbous and underprojected tip and minor dorsal hump. I am 100% open minded about my surgery and also with everyone's opinion, and I enourage everyones feedback. I don't aspire to have a "perfect" nose, and I am prepared for risks. I would like to have similar results to this patient, as we have similar ethnic nose types

Hi Idrees, thanks for sharing your pictures. I'm a 32 year old Asian woman who wanted to fix her nose all her life and finally did it 2 months ago. I've regretted it ever since. I went to the best surgeon in the UK, who has done thousands of noses and specialises in ethnic noses, but unfortunately now my nose does not suit my face. It is too short and now my smile is ruined. Your pictures show that you have a nice nose and you are a gorgeous young man who does NOT need to have an operation. You really are a good looking chap who does not need to do this. No one has the right to tell you what to do, but I wish someone had told me not to have the operation because I was already pretty and now I will regret this decision for the rest of my life. Our faces change as we age, and trust me, the best is yet to come for you and you'll look even better than you do already when you're 20, 25, etc. Just wait for those days because they will come soon! Hi Velvet I'm really sorry that you went through what you did, but rightfully it is my choice if I want to go through with it, and every rhinoplasty is different. I've always followed my instinct, and I really WANT a nose job! there is always a risk with all cosmetic surgery, but I really want this so much. I don't think I'll ever regret it, sorry.

i dont think there is anything wrong with the nose..i dont find it crooked. there is less fat on right cheek than left .i feel that is why you are getting an impression that your nose is crooked
