I absolutely love lifting and competing in figure competitions, but I've always been a little on the smaller side even before my body fat started to drop. Once I got serious about weight lifting, my chest was the first thing to go. I didn't want to give up my love for lifting, but I did want that feminine side to it back. I didn't want huge DD, just a full C that would help to narrow out my shoulders and make me feel sexy in a bikini again. I didn't want to look like a [RS bleep] star, but I also wanted them to be just perfect enough that people had to guess whether or not they were real (I mean, hey...if you're going to do it, you may as well do it, right??)
I've been researching doctors etc for years, probably since I turned 20, but it wasn't until this past summer that I decided it was really something that I wanted. Needless to say I'm incredibly impulsive and the second I decided I wanted to do it, I made an apt for a consultation with Dr. Coan and because he had a cancellation, I had my surgery the following week.
Let me first say that Dr. Coan is a PURE GENIUS. He is funny, attentive, intelligent, personable, etc etc etc. He listened to everything I had to say about my life, my goals, my passions and he helped to translate that into the perfect chest for ME. He never once asked me about size. Which I loved because 5'2 me may not look the same in a C or a D like someone taller than me would. His staff is AMAZING. I never once felt self conscious or bullied into anything. If anything, I always left their office feeling prettier and more confident than I did when I walked in. All the girls are so wonderful, especially April.
The day of the surgery went without a hitch. I had minimal bleeding, so I wasn't all black and blue and by the second day, I was out to dinner with friends. My boyfriend was totally shocked when I took the compression bra off for the first time and he saw how great they looked just a few hours after surgery. And they have only continued to get better.
I am so so so incredibly happy that I didn't wait a moment longer to get this surgery.

Congratulations! What type and size implants did you get? Were your implants placed under or over the muscle? Feel free to comment on this forum for fitness competitors with breast augmentation.
