Provider Review

Overall rating

I went to see Mary Shaver at Davis & Pyle contemplating ultherapy for my lower face as I felt my mouth and chin were melting off my face (!). I thought Ultherapy was the only thing I could do to try to tighten that area. I'd had injections at other clinics before in my upper face (botox and I'd also had filler in my cheekbones), but no other injector had suggested anything to do about my lower face. It was basically ignored. I honestly thought I was going to need a mini-facelift because I didn't know injections could help that area of my face. Mary studied my face carefully and explained to me how and why my face was aging the way that it was, that it's a combination of losing volume, not enough collagen and lots of movement. She gave me a plan to address all 3 of those issues. It became clear that to address one while ignoring the others was just going to be a waste of money and time. I decided against ultherapy (except for a little spot under my chin) and opted to use the money, instead, to get volbella in my lips, voluma around the creases of my mouth, botox around the mouth (which I'd never done before!), and finally Sculptra along the jaw line. I was scared at first. I REALLY didn't want to have weird lips or look like a creation. Mary reassured me and I took it one step at a time. I almost didn't get Sculptra because I was still worried about getting too much work done, but I'm glad I did it because the Sculptra was the icing on the cake. My skin feels smooth and tight where it was once paper thin. All of this sounds like a lot, but the expense was a fraction of what a facelift would cost with some of the major results lasting a year and more. I no longer look in the mirror and feel old. I feel like I look myself. No one can can tell I've had anything done (except I keep getting compliments on my face and skin) until I show them my photos and they're floored. So am I! Mary is an artist. She knows how to use these products with expertise I haven't found anywhere else. Other people just point and shoot where you tell them to. She actually has a whole strategy and ultimately, I believe, you get more bang for your buck that way. You actually get the look you want (not just cheeks or a smooth forehead, but a beautiful overall look). I will let her do anything she wants to my face from now on because I trust her completely.
