Accutane Eradicated my Acne - Queens, NY

I always had clear skin but in December 2014, my face blew out with massive cystic acne all over the sides and my forehead . My jaw line became dark and covered in cystic acne . My neck had disgusting cystic acne that would not even pop, and were so rigid . My back was completely covered in acne . Cystic acne that would not pop . It was painful . I tried everything, monocyclin , retin A, Benzoyl Peroxide , and a host of other medications and products . I even tried sulphur soap , you name it , I tried it . Panoxyl helped a lot with the back acne but it dried the crap out of my face . I couldn't take it anymore , I always hated makeup and now everyone was constantly asking me what happen to my face . I then went to my doctor and she prescribed accutane . I first had to do the I-Pledge go on two forms of birth control , get blood tested , and take a pregnancy test every month , for siz months sheesh . My Medicaid covered , the total cost . The first month I.saw no change , then the third month my face began to clear . The forth month , my face is completely clear , with maybe 4 or 5 small bumps . I still have 2 more months left .
The cons :
-extremely dry skin , I combatted this with Palmers coco butter and for my face used cetaphil religiously .
-Severe to moderate cracked lips , the side of my mouth kept cutting and nothing worked .
The only thing that worked was aquaphor ,
Buy the jar not the tube , and I was putting this on every 15 minutes .
-I did not get any nose bleeds , but I do get an increased amount of booger , which sometimes have a spec of blood on them.
- I also developed this small rash on my leg , it can't be seen but I can feel it and it's getting better .
-I have a few dry patches on my arm but they are smoothing out , hopefully after I finish the accutane they will be gone .
-My back is completely covered in scars but that's not from accutane but from me picking .
-Increases sun sensitivity , please wear sunscreen , I wear blue lizard , great brand and gives you a lot of protection .
-Makes you feel very tired .
- in some cases may cause hair loss, I've noticed an increase in hair loss and my hair is extremely dry , which worked out because it's summer .
The benefits did outweigh the cons .
