When did your swelling finally go down? I had my mini Jan 16 and I look like a cabbage patch doll. So sad about my face being so round now. I really pray it is not my new look!

did not expect

I planned everything... time away from work ... family obligations ..... the amount of money needed.... vitamins, pillows, cloths, everything but I did not plan for my children and husband to be so shocked on how different I look. My son keeps saying he is sad I don't look like mom and my husband keeps saying I don't look like myself. Any would of advice out there ? very very sad

I think you look awesome! Eyes are brighter. You look beautiful!
Could your hubby be worried his wife is now even more desirable & younger looking?? Just a 'back seat' psychologist(daughter is a psych.) trying to understand the worry there... Love your subtle results btw...
I am sure that these comments make you feel very blue. It would bother me also. I don't know how old your child is, so it is difficult to comment on what an innocent child might think he is perceiving. Sometimes, a child will simply repeat what his father has said. Nor do I know your husband, so it would be unfair to pass judgment there either really.
What I CAN tell you unequivocally is that you were very pretty, but now you are quite beautiful. It is not a matter of opinion. It is not a matter of conjecture. You are beautiful! Stunning. You look younger, your face is beautifully and aesthetically balanced. Your eyes are more alive and refreshed. The shape of your face is perfect if you ask me. It is a lovely transformation.
If one undergoes surgery, they DO want to look different. There should be a noticeable change in my opinion. I would not want my result to be so "subtle" that there was no perceived alteration. To say that you no longer resemble your former self is not at ALL accurate. It is you, but a younger softer you.
I do not think that your husband was prepared for just how lovely you do look. Give him a while.
Also, please understand that your face still has quite a bit of swelling, and will for a while. I had swelling for a full 6 months after my surgery and I followed all protocols including no salt and sleeping angled and upright and taking arnica, etc.
Your face will come to settle a bit and your husband will come to love and be proud of the new you.
I am sorry that these remarks have hurt your heart.
Totally agree!
Thank you so much everyone ! I needed that ☺
I agree with both comments so far. If your husband said it in front of your son, I think your son is probably mirroring his dad. Also probably a little freaked out by the thought of his mom getting her face 'cut' on.
You do not look at all like a different person. The changes look very subtle to me. You look younger and even prettier but not like a different person. I remember when my daughter was 8 years old , she used to get after me for coloring my hair and wearing makeup. Claiming she wanted me to be natural, be myself. She claimed she will NEVER color her hair when she is a grown up. Fast forward ... she is 25 and has gorgeous hightlighted bleach blonde hair with impeccable makeup. In other words, trust in your adult decision and know you look fabulous and exactly like yourself. You really do.
I did not think of that and ......I have not asked him, but you might have a point ! maybe a little TLC for him when I feel better :) thank you I love everyone's thoughts thank you thank you thank you
I don’t think you look much different just more awake and younger
