5 weeks after Profhilo & still experiencing pillow face

Wow, I just had Skinvive (what it is marketed as in the U.S.) yesterday and I am having the same experience. Jowls and 'squishy' area above jawline. I was not expecting this at all.... Not pleased.

It’s been 3 weeks since my treatment and the swelling has only gone down marginally.

Have you considered having dissolved? I am experiencing the same thing 3 weeks in and am looking into options to dissolve

I’m sorry to read about your results. This product should be restricted to only the most experienced injectors who are highly conservative and patients need to be proactive in communicating what they are expecting to achieve. I also believe that 1 ml per side can overfill.

I reported my experience to the distributor, the company, and the Therapeutics Goods Agency.

I’m 5 weeks in and still experiencing swelling, but it has lessened. I’ve since read that Profhilo can volumize for up to 4 weeks, and more if injected improperly (or intentionally).

I’d love to dissolve but the product migrates and the whole area would have to be flooded. It would possibly lead to very lax skin because of the sudden volume loss.

I checked the reviews online and the only caution was getting an experienced injector (which I did-plastic surgeon) as improper technique can cause swelling.

Please report your results to the distributor in your area, the State Therapeutics Goods Association, and the distributor will send you a link to the company reporting service as well.

The injector is required to report adverse effects to the company, but following up yourself makes certain that it’s recorded.

I have had my profhilo on 14/10/2023. Immediately noticed puffy face and it changed the shape of my face (losing my v shape). It has reduced now after 2 1/2 months compared to the first few weeks after treatment, but it is still puffy and I my face shape is still rounder. Hate the results and i also cancelled the 2nd appointment.

7 week update. The swelling is still present. My skin looks shiny like a bruise and every imperfection is highlighted because of the shine.

10 week update and the swelling is still present and it’s uncomfortable to smile. My skin has noticeably changed for the worse. The overall shape of my face has changed and it feels like there’s pockets of jelly in my cheeks and around my mouth. The worst areas are directly where Profhilo was injected. Every clinician I have discussed this with says it’s not even possible and that the product does not have this effect, which is incredibly frustrating as I’ve had no help.

I had same. Still present after 1.5 years.
Little less, but skin noticeably sagged after some volume gone and increased swelling(which I got as a result of treatment). So in case you’ll find a solution let me know.
