Profhilo 7 day update
As promised, here is my final update on the effects of my first Profhilo facial injections.
It has been 7 days since the injections left bumps on my face and they are now 95% resolved.
My skin texture and tone is visibly better than before and fine lines have become less noticeable too.
I was told that the Profhilo protocol requires another set of injections after four weeks and frankly it may be a struggle to get me back into the chair again for that to happen.
Would I recommend Profhilo to my best friend? Probably, but with at least a few words of caution.
Clearly, what happened to me does not happen to everyone, but it is clear that the Profhilo bumps last a good deal longer than the manufacturer would like you to believe for some patients and perhaps my story will assist others in making an informed decision before choosing this procedure.

ORIGINAL POST
bumps...horrible, frightening bumps!
So, after watching numerous Youtube videos, I took the plunge and booked my appointment for Profhilo.
The treatment itself was pain-free and the brief facial massage afterwards was supposed to spread out the Profhilo under my skin.
After the treatment was over, I went into the restroom and had HUGE BUMPS where the injections had been given and when I questioned the nurse about them, I was told it was totally normal to have them and that they would be much less noticable in 3-4 hours.....That however, was not to be the case.
Well, here we are 12 hours later and I have BUMPS...HORRIBLE, FRIGHTENING BUMPS! (Think Star trek Aliens)
Reading the reviews here, it looks like the 3-4 hour guideline I was given is a tad optimistic and my bumps may last for 3 to 5 days.
Does anyone else have an experience like mine and some guidance on what to expect and use to make this dissipate?
Thanks to one and all!

Hi. How are you doing?
Hi Rocky!
Thank you for asking.
Here's the latest update on my experience with Profhilo.
Ok, so 3 days later from my last post and I would say that 90% the bumps has gone down, so you can still feel them but not see them, however the right side of my mid-face is still a little rough.
Please look for an update again in 3 days and with any luck, things should be 100% and then I will apprise you of any change in my skin.
It still amazes me how different my experience has actually been vs. what was described online and in product literature!

I had similar experience with juvederm hydrate bumps that last at least 24h
Hi! Just found this! Had my first profhilo treatment yesterday, and 24 hours are gone, but there's still ONE HUGE BUMP under my right eye, where one of the injections went... Looks like a swollen edema. On the other side it has dissolved well. How long can it last?? Have you made the second treatment? What were your experiences?
7 days post prophilo treatment, the bumps disappeared rather quickly. However I have a weird swelling along my jawline which makes it look quite disfigured. I cannot find much info online about this complication and wondering has anyone else experienced anything similar? Really worried
Thanks in advance!
Where is your photo to show to the disfigured areas? I've had prophilo and my bumps went away within a few hours...
Hi, I rather not share photos online, but I can deffinatly send you a photo in a private chat
Hi I just did Profhilo a this is happening to me the swelling is crazy still after a week. How did it go
