Well I will like to start by thanking all of the women that are willing to help each other and give great inputs to what some of us are trying to accomplish. Thank you for answering to all of my questions! That being said, I am looking to get a tip reshape due to breathing and look. I will desire to have a nose that fits my face, currently it is wide and droopy. Also, I want to get a breast augmentation. I had my first visit today, which thanks to this website, I was able to be more prepare and know what I was looking for and what to expect from this visit. I went to Dr. Hamawy in NJ, I found him through this website as well. To start, his front staff Camille is wonderful. She makes you feel comfortable, is very personable, always answers your questions with a smile, she is just great. Camille took 3D pictures of my breast, and Dr. Hamawy took some if my nose, asked some simple questions such what bothers you? What are you looking to get? Then takes some measurements of the breast, gave me some implants to try on with a sport bra. I told him I was looking to get a full C and the sizes I was given were 295cc, 325cc, 350cc, 371cc, and 400cc. Then, we proceeded to his office, where I was able to see what they would look like, at least to have an idea of the final outcome. Breast, I decided I want saline 371 he recommended high profile, I want it to do the areolar incision but he recommended under the breast due to all the glands and tissues in the nipple, so I went with his recommendation.
Nose, I thought it was going to be an easy procedure but I felt very overwhelmed to know all it has to be done. I knew I had to add cartilage to the bottom of the nose to lift it, but I was not expecting to find out that bones will have to be broken and sanded to achieve a narrower nose:( . I was told this procedure alone will take about three hours and the BA will take about a hour, so four hours total. He mentioned I will be in antibiotics pre and post surgery to prevent an infection. I was told that a diet, nor pre op testing was required, which came to me as a surprise. I am a nurse and no matter what procedure, we always sent patients to have at least blood work to check for clotting. Post operative recommendations so far he said only massaging the breast three times a day for one to two weeks, after that once every day for the rest of your life. I also asked about rippling and he said there's really no way to prevent it nor fix it. We also talk about capsular contraction, possible infections, and leaks or ruptures of the implant. Revisions, if there is something wrong he did or manufacturing of the implants he will void his charge, however, I will still be responsible for anesthesia and facility fees as long as this occur within three months or so from the original procedure. Otherwise, if a revision is needed he will charge a fee. Consultation fee is 100, and to schedule a procedure is 1000 which are non refundable in the event of cancellations. I was quoted a bit higher that what I was expecting, so when I told my husband he was not happy at all. He is reluctant about me having a BA, he does not understand the need for it, thinks is unnatural, and an unnecessary expense. Now is up to me to decide what to do, I wish I could have both done to avoid the hassle of commuting to his office is 45 mins away from home. In fact, I thought I was going to walk out the office with a procedure date until I got my quote lol bummed:)

Pre-op

I had my pre-op appt last Friday. First I paid off my remaining balance of 3900, they deducted my 100 dollars consultation fee. Then, I was given paperwork to acknowledge all medical complications related to and after the procedure. It is all pretty much standard to any other surgery risk, plus fees and steps to take in case of leak, rupture, or capsular contraction. It also reminds you of keeping up with your post procedures appointments, and the importance of following directions for after care.
Dr. Hamawy tried to put me on easy, he is very confident of his skills, and reassure me everything will be fine. He has all my trust, I do believe when he says it will be fine, as I also believe I will like his work. However, I can't stop thinking about my size. I changed from high profile to moderate plus. I like the look of saline on mod+ profile. He also told me he will use his judgment during surgery, so it looks in proportion with my body. I didn't try any sizers, we just talked. I also mention the fact of me disliking my stretch marks. He took his time, and look at it. He said, in a scale of 1-10 he will say it's a 2, so I won't see much improvement with the laser. He recomend me to keep my money, and not wasted on something I won't be happy with the results. I expected nothing less from him, but a honest answer. I am still a happy patient, Dr. Hamawy and his staff are so nice.
Here are some pics, I can not wait for Friday to come:)
