After having my kids, and hysterectomy I had always wanted a tummy tuck as the skin hanging was always a problem. I did a lot of research and wanted to have the surgery close to home for follow up appointments. I chose Aurora Clinic as it provided the best reviews and most honest evaluation of the sugery. I appreciated being able to see plenty of before and after pictures and watch videos of surgery.

Looking great! I am having the same done in August, can you add any detail about how your recovery has been? At 5 weeks post are you able to walk around most of the day and stand up straight etc?

I was upright within 6 days, and sleeping back on my side with a pillow supporting the leg I wanted to pull across! By 2 weeks I had stopped taking painkillers. The feeling of the stretch at the top of my thighs (from the pull up) was the most unexpected part of my recovery. I have not done any hoovering lol! but apart from that I am on top form feeling great! Will be posting more pics shortly!

Ur tummy looks amazing . I too have had me richards do my tummy tuck and boobs . I'm currently week two had wen tapes came of to be cleaned and re appied today . I have seen that I've got quite some ruckling to the skin in places so I'm a bit worried . But the nurse assures me this will all smooth out over the weeks . Did u have any of this ? X

Thats fantastic - I can't wait for the whole 'pull-up' thing, everyting needs to go back to where it used to be lol! But I can imagine the sensation must be odd! I work as a dog walker, walking for up to 5 hours per day, back to back, in your opinion, do you think you'd be able to manage this at this stage of recovery (5 weeks out?) Aggie, Mr Richards' assistant assures me I will but I'm scared I'll still feel very vulnerable! Thank you for your advice :-)

At the sides, by my hips I had some rucking and lumpy area around the scar, but this has gone away totally now! The tape comes off next wednesday at my 6 week check up, as Im changing it myself twice a week at the moment, so Im looking forward to using cream to start to minimise the redness. Having said that, I think it looks incredible already!

Lizchic, I was walking my dog 3 1/2 miles at 3 weeks but I did feel tired at the end of each day! Build up to it, and listen to your body! I have done things 'by the book' because I decided to have this surgery in April as I was writing my dissertation and finishing my degree! I was assured that I could do it all, and they were right! Good Luck! I have never felt this good before! x

Hello oh that makes feel a bit better . I think ur scar looks amazing . How many weeks did ur ruckling smooth out .? I'm 3 weeks yesterday and changed the tapes again and all looks fine when the tapes on but as u pull it off it looks really ugly in a couple of places I'm getting a bit stressed about it ! X

Hi, you look great! I have an appt with Dr Richards on June 1 which I'm looking forward to for a TT. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the surgery cost in sterling? X

The surgery cost £6160, a little bit more than other consultants he works alongside, but I was impressed with Mr Richards reviews tbh! He stiches you down inside, so no drains are needed at the end of surgery, and little swelling :) Im a very happy bunny!

You should be! You look really good! I had two girls via normal delivery in the 90's and my stomach stretched with an apron that hangs. If not for that, I'd still be able to get into clothes I wore pre pregnancy else as I didn't put on weight anywhere else, I've now decided to have a TT. Your email has got me even more excited over my appointment and I'll let you know how I get on! x

A few pre op photos before tummy tuck, and a couple that were taken as soon as I woke up! The swelling went down within 24 hrs :)

After 2 nights in hospital I was ready to go home. The only pain killers I was taking was paracetamol, which was more to combat a bit of backache from not standing straight than anything else! I couldnt wait for my own bed!
