3 Weeks PO
Today marks 3 weeks. I’m doing great. Achiness in breasts still happens but it isn’t until late in the day. Swelling is the same. Doesn’t show up until late day.
My right breast gets an exptreme pain if I overuse my right arm or press too firmly on something. It’s pretty shocking so I’ve been super quiet. Glad it seems to be subsiding.
My breasts are dropping nicely and starting to settle more into my chest and out of my armpits. Yay! I think that has been the worst part. Lol.
As you can see my scar is healing nicely. It was really jagged and bumpy but after I stopped putting tape on it, it seems to be smoothing out. I didn’t expect that. Now I just rub jojoba oil into it. Personally I tho k it’s better than E. It’s molecule is the same size as the sebum oil in our skin so it is absorbed more readily. Pick it up at a health food store. 100% clear. The yellow version seems to be sticky so I prefer the clear.
Anyhoo. That is it for now. I’ll post again in about three weeks!

14 Days Post Op
Healing is going well. I'm two weeks to the day of my surgery and my bruising is pretty much gone. I'm still sore and swollen in one spot from the lipo but otherwise everything is healing beautifully. Breasts are dropping nicely - excited to see where things end up. The only thing that has developed is really achy breasts. Not pain - just achy. I do have a pain in the lower side of my right breast but honestly I think it's because I'm right handed and seem to automatically go to do stuff (forgetting) and then as soon as there is pressure - the pain flares. Guess it's my body's way of saying stop! Trying to listen and be better about lifting/pressing (like when you apply pressure to shave your legs).
My incisions have healed beautifully. I still tire easily but it gets better every day. My BB looks good, although I started getting nervous after showers and wanted to make sure it stayed dry and healthy so I started drying it with a q-tip and then spraying it with Bactine. It's healing so much faster and looks healthy. Happy girl!
Next Monday will be my 3-week check up with Dr. Baxter. I'm supposed to keep wearing my compression garment but the stage two garment is so loose it doesn't feel like it's doing much so I'm wearing a tighter pair of spanx to keep compression on my belly/incisions. Still wearing the surgical bra as well.
Here is an updated photo - I'm a little bigger than I wanted to be breast-wise but it looks proportionate and I'm not unhappy. I have a feeling I'll end up a D rather than the DD that I am right now. The only thing that really bugs me is my breast width is so wide (BWD 15) that it feels like my implants are under my armpits. I think as they soften and drop this will be much less of an issue. I do like that they aren't squished together as I prefer the look of open cleavage - rather than butt-crack cleavage (that's what I call it anyway). No offense to anyone else. Just never been a fan.
Still super happy with Dr. Baxter and cannot say enough good things about him or the staff. Hubby and I had some concern that my BB might not be completely centered - it might be off by a couple of centimeters - but it's so slight I doubt anyone would notice. I'm also still swollen a lot on one side - just under my right boob - so that could be contributing. Going to just be patient and wait and see!

10 Days PO - in depth details
Update: 10 Days Post
49yo, 3 kids (3 c-sections) 175lbs. 130 lb weight loss.
Procedures: BA, MR, TT & Lipo
BA: Natrelle 400cc 14.25, round, cohesive, moderate profile, under the muscle. I have a breast width dimension of 15. Required a larger implant to achieve upper pole fullness.
MR: Minor. One stitch above and below belly button.
Lipo: Sides - front and back. Just below bra line where bruising is.
TT: Progressive suture method (also referred to as drainless - but my doctor still used 1 drain. It was removed 3 days post op)
Experal used in the incision. SO worth it.
Stage 1 & 2 Compression suits supplied by my PS.
Starting 5 days post op: Arnica gel for bruising, Tumeric/Curcumin Supplement, Quercetin/Bromelain Supplement. Reduction in bruises and swelling has improved noticibly each day.
PS: Richard Baxter - Mountlake Terrace, WA (north Seattle)
Yesterday was 10 days post op and I couldn’t be happier.
I chose Dr. Baxter based on reviews, techniques, before/after, certifications and a personal referral. Dr. Baxter only does surgery on 1 patient a day. He wants full focus on them. He doesn’t want to be fatigued for another patient. I LOVED that about him.
Day of surgery I took 1 Amend and .5mg Xanax 1.5 hours prior to surgery. Amend was for nausea and Xanax was to simply to help me feel relaxed prior to surgery. Met my anesthesiologist (whom had called me the night before to go over the surgery, medications, instructions and to answer any questions). I was prepped. Met with the doctor who marked me up and discussed what procedures he would be doing.
I was then taken to the surgical suite (in office) laid on the table and Mary Kay (anesthesiologist) started an IV. She asked me to focus on a happy memory - one that alway made me feel joy- and I was out. Her theory is whatever you are thinking/feeling before you go under is how you will think/feel coming out of Anesthesia. She believes in the mind/body connection and has been doing it for many years. Very experienced. I came out thinking about the same thing so it t have worked.
Felt like I had just laid down and I woke up with everything done. A bit groggy but coherent and no pain. Just tight in my chest and felt heavy physically in a sense. I was already in my stage 1 compression suit with 1 drain in my incision. Hallelujah!
Went to recovery for about 30 minutes and then headed home. Several of the nurses talked to me said everything went well. Dr. Baxter was very happy with how everything went. Surgery was about 5 hours.
Day 2-3 were the hardest. Day 1, I slept in a Recliner and chilled out. Was very comfortable but needed help getting out of the recliner to go to the bathroom. Walked a little bit every few hours. Slept great each night. Days 2 & 3 I felt more pain but not unbearable. I believe it was all lipo & muscle repair pain. The doc gave me Dilaudid for pain as most narcotics make me sick. I had no nausea. Yay!
Day 4 I went in and had the breast sutures removed. Easy and painless. Started sleeping in a bed that night propped up on pillows. Also great.
Day 7 returned to the doc and had Belly Button sutures removed and was given the stage 2 garment. I got to go home and shower!!! Yay! I also headed back to my home 3 hours away. I had been staying at my sisters near the doctors office.
7-10 I’ve been home with my kids healing and doing well. Since I started the supplements my swelling has decreased dramatically and my breasts have softened quite a bit.
Other than tiring easily and needing to take things slowly I’m pretty much back to normal. Feeling pretty happy considering I am only 10 days out. I feel very blessed to have had such an amazing team. My incisions are healing beautifully. Tape is still on from surgery and they all look really great.
Im thrilled with my results and so happy I did it! Wishing you all the best with whatever you have planned.
