Botched breast implants

Diseased tissue removed due to stage encapsulation that DR Cerna said was normal.

I decided to have breast implants whilst living in...

I decided to have breast implants whilst living in Prague as the procedure is so much cheaper than where I come from. I consulted a surgeon and expressed I was very nervous and didn't want to be any bigger just to be more fuller.
I went back for another visit day prior to procedure as I was so nervous and she offered to remove them for 600 euro within a year if I wasn't happy. That made me feel comfortable to go ahead with the produce the next day.
I awoke to being told by Surgeon that they tried two sizes and opted for larger as they looked much better. I was surprised once the swelling went down how large I was. I was getting use to the size but then was suffering constant pain in the right breast. I returned to my PS on a few occasions within the year to be told this is normal and it will eventually subside.
Well three years on and still pain and then feeling three lumps in my left breast I went to have X-rays and an ultrasound (I thought I may have breast cancer) OMG it took two weeks before I could bring myself to be checked out as I was so scared only to be told I have stage 4 encapsulation of the implant in my right breast and rippling of the left implant, hence the lumps. No wonder I had suffered pain since the beginning.
Now 6 years on I consulted two other plastic surgeons who said they needed to be replaced immediately as they are so diseased and pain too unbearable to tolerate anymore. I didn't change them when I first found out due to my father dying and there wasn't an option as I had to spend a lot of time flying back and forth to be with him. I am now scheduled to have the procedure and asked for smaller implants as I hate the size I am now and they are drooping downwards like my original breasts that were actually more attractive than what I have now ended up with.
I asked my new PS if I can go down in size but that is not possible unless I endure removal of areola and nipple plus leaving me with a T Shaped incision. He suggested that I should have had under muscle implants which was never even discussed nor offered to me in the initial consultation. My new PS says this style of procedure would have alleviated me from the pain I have been suffering from and also the outcome of drooping breasts and stage four encapsulation. My right breast is hard as a rock and my left breast soft and lumpy.
What's made me more upset is I contacted my initial PS about this as I said before and no investigations were done. Had they been at the time the procedure and style of implant and size could have been changed and I would not being going through another procedure next week to remove them.
My new PS will replace my old silicone implants with new ones of a much better quality and design that have a less than 1 % chance of this happening again. Also they will be placed under the muscle which is recommended technique and should have been done that way in the first place.
The procedure now is not so simple as they have to remove the diseased tissue surrounding the old implants and replace me with even bigger implants to replace space left from this. OMG this is so not what I was looking for but just can't handle the reduction scars.
I thought I had researched enough before going ahead and put faith in my surgeon because that's her speciality not mine. Plus the expense is nearly double the initial implants therefore my breast implants have cost me a lot of money, down time and considerable pain over a long period of time.
Would I do it again? Possibly not!

I would welcome any other ladies that have gone through this to advise me of their final outcome. Surgery scheduled for next week and currently in panic mode.

PS is a very warm and lovely lady with a great bedside manner but it seems the after followup is her weakness as she ignored my concerns even though I attended her practice on a few occasions explaining the pain she sent me away saying they would come good. That is why I have had to rate her followup so low. My advice is always insist they follow up with Ultrasounds and X-rays if you experience pain and don't be fobbed off and told it will go away eventually. Pain usually means there is a problem and indeed in my situation it is huge.
