Upper/Lower Abs (36 Y.o. No Kids)
I’ve always had a problem area of mid and lower abs; I have abs, they’re just hiding under some bouncy soft fat that never goes away. No matter if I was a size 2 or size 12 it’s always been there. I am so excited to gain some confidence in getting this procedure.

Feeing great (day 1 post-op)
I am already so happy I had this procedure! Yesterday was the operation and I was under for about an hour. Everyone at the surgical center was so kind and explained everything as they were doing it. Nurse said I had about 650 ccs removed and I can already tell a HUGE difference. Even with swelling my trouble area is no more!
Recovery was easy coming out of the anesthesia and the entire OR team was so great. And of course Dr. Steinwald is a professional who truly cares about his patients. He gave me a call to check on me the evening of my operation.
I recommend lots of soup and cough drops ready when you get home for the sore throat. Aside from a sore throat from the trach tube the body soreness wasn’t that bad. I’ve not needed narcotics and only taking 1000 mg of Tylenol every 6 hours. It is difficult to get up and down from a recline position, but not unbearable. I am not able to bend over at the waist without pain, but that is expected. There is swelling on my mons pubis but also not unbearable. I’ve been working from home today and getting up to move and walk around every 60-90 minutes. Overall recovery is easier than what I expected so far.

Days 4-5 going great
The swelling has reduced a lot and I no longer have the same deep soreness as the first 3 days. I was able to “go out” for a long walk downtown and eat at a restaurant with little discomfort on day 4. Pain didn’t wake me up for the first time since surgery (I was waking 6 hours after Tylenol) and I even slept in a little today. Took another walk and felt great. Getting up from bed and sitting isn’t nearly as bad as earlier days. Focus on using my legs/quads to get up instead of my core muscles. Able to bend at the hips with minimal discomfort. Very minimal bruising as well. Super satisfied with the healing process so far.
