Upper blepharoplasty with lateral browpexy for...

Misusita
WORTH IT$6,200
Upper blepharoplasty with lateral browpexy for drooping eyelids went without a hitch. Staff extremely professional, polite, considerate, respectful and helpful. So very happy I did it!
It is as if I have been granted "more time", and I can look in the mirror and not be depressed by the inevitable passage of time. Makes one feel even more energetic!
It is fun not to tell any of my woman friends (except my best woman friend, of course!), and appear "younger"!!! Wait till they see me!!!!

How was the browpexy done? Was it by suture? I will be having an internal browpexy with upper bleph. I'm terrified. I already canceled once b4. What should I expect? How was the healing process for u?

By internal suture, through a lateral scalp incision which is totally hidden. From the blepharoplasty you can expect swelling and redness, and black-and-blue mark, but no pain at all (at least for me). From the lateral browpexy you can expect tenderness on the scalp and forehead for quite some time, I'm not going to lie, and it is a bit difficult to comb that area. BUT: the results are worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a much more "permanent" result, in my opinion, and it gives me actual upper eyelids, which I never had, with a very natural look!!!! Knowing the "postop", would I do it again if I could go back in time? YES!!!!!

Thx so much for your reply!! My surgeon will be doing the browpexy through the eyelid incision only during the upper eyelid surgery. How long did the initial seelling and bruising ladt for u? My brother and his family are coming to visit exactly 1 month later. Is that enough time to heal? Just curious how long u had bruising and swelling. Did u take any supplements b4 or after like Arnica or Bromelain? I hear they work, but I'm skeptical to use herbs for eye surgery. Thanks for taking the time to respond. :) I'm happy to hear you r doing well and u r happy with the outcome!! Can u post b4 and after pix? If not, I understand wanting your privacy. :-)

No photos, sorry: it is fun to pretend I am just "naturally" getting younger! Yes, supplements indeed help. The lateral scalp incisions (which, by what you say, you will not have) are hidden, so no one saw them from the beginning. The eyelids take, minimum, 3 weeks to be able to disguise them with some makeup; you don't want to mess with them before that! What will be visible, no matter what, is the "blacknblue" = hematomas on your cheeks (from blood settling there). This takes much more time to resolve. I am at 2 months, and look normal. Your MD will probably recommend a cream to avoid scarring on the eyelids; I still use it at night. In spite of all this, it was totally worth it for me!!!

The only pain I had (forgot to mention it) was upon taking the sutures out of the eyelids...

Thank u for your help!! I'm excited to have it done and scared at the same time. lol. I don't blame u for not posting pix. I won't either. I am too private. I have only told my parents, hubby and sister. Keeping it a secret otherwise. It's nice to hear success stories like yours. Gives me hope. :-)
