How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Post pregnancy liposuction: to resculpt mid section
This is an early post and will be updated after 4 weeks of recover...
Objective: To return to pre-pregnancy body shape
Experience thus far:
Pros: Excellent Academic Record ( will that translate to results still unknown ), wonderful bedside manner, positive communication and responsiveness
cons: Office staff a bit confused, not alway up to speed on questions or medical knowledge, not the best approach for consent signing and other procedures
Note: I am picky, especially in elective surgery when you pay OOP and at a premium..and I am a professional in the healthcare / life science industry so may be more critical than others...
1 Day prior to surgery: I was contacted by a cheerful nurse who reviewed the basics, reminders and made me feel at ease. I was not contacted by the anesthesiologist-- as was promised by the practice. I felt this was a negative point, due to the safety requirements for general anesthesia.
Day of surgery:
I was told to come in early, but was required to wait for 3 hours, after fasting for 14 hours.. not ideal, but it happens. After 3 hours of waiting I did feel rushed into meetings with the doctors anesthesiologist etc. I was not thrilled about being hooked to the IV prior to meeting with the MDs, due to the addition movement and discomfort, in my opinion this should happen when the OR is ready and all other consults are complete. A final note to the office: the consult rooms are very close to the general public waiting rooms and it is uncomfortable to walk in a gown in front of strangers on your way to the OR.
That said, I was made comfortable and warm in the OR, the procedure went smoothly and recovery was short and sweet in the office location. The surgeon removed 800 cc (not sure if only fat or fat + fluid), from back, abs and flanks. I did not need much, but much needed the selective removal for return to shape.
1 day post op: The evening after surgery I was feeling considerable pain, which subsided after the pain meds were taken. 1 day post op: I feel much better, able to walk around, and seem to be recovering ok.. although I have not seen any of the result yet-- too early. I will note that I have gained 5 lbs in what might be water weight from the wetting fluid or fluid retention. I have been walking around fine, am continuing with pain meds and lets see..
more to come!
