After having carpal tunnel issues for several...
After having carpal tunnel issues for several years and finally having it get so bad that I was sleeping at night with a wrist brace and had to give up crocheting because it would cause terrible pain in my hand, I made the decision to have the surgery. This is my dominate hand, right hand, which made me very nervous because I didn't want to depend on anyone else for doing things for me. After the surgery, I went home with my hand all wrapped and hand to keep it that way for a couple of days. Then removed the wrapping and was able to just use a bandaid to cover the stitches. I had instant relief of having the pain gone and didn't even need to take any pain meds after I got home, not even Advil. I was able to use my hand immediately after the wrapping was removed. I used a sterile glove when I needed to have my hand in water or do personal things. I am completely healed now and have just begun crocheting again and have absolutely no pain. I highly recommend Dr. Bartholomew who explained in great detail the procedure and was very patient about answering all my questions and assuring that the healing process would be no big deal. He was right and if I ever need to get my other hand done, I will be back to have him do it.
Provider Review
Dr. Bartholomew had a very reassuring manner about him, he was thorough in discussing the procedure, and was very willing to answer all my questions, no matter how mundane they seemed. Thank you Dr. Bartholomew!
