I got my labret pierced when I was 15 and removed it a few years later but the scar remained. I've always hated it and knew that it would need to be surgically removed in order for it to go away. I called Dr Lee's office and they called me in for a consult. He took a look, told me how much it would be and I came in at a later date and had the procedure. He numbed the site and the whole process was painless and took about 25 minutes or less (can't remember exactly). I'm very happy with it. It wasn't costly and now my unsightly hole is gone. I would definitely recommend.

That is so great, thank you for posting! It looks amazing - can't even see it! How was the hole filled? Did you have stitches or a skin graft?

He just made an incision (I believe it was vertical) and stitched me up. He explained that once a scar has been made, a doctor can only do their best to make that scar less notifiable and he achieved that by removing the old scar tissue and making a new, less noticeable scar.

It looks beautiful!! I also pierced mine at age 15 and Im desperate to get the hole removed now, but it's been hard to find a doctor who can do it.

I would just call around to any plastic surgeons on your area. Chances are you'll find someone. It's a really easy procedure for them. Good luck!

Call around and ask about scar removal. There's gotta be someone! It's a fairly straightforward and simple procedure.

That look great! How did they do it it I wonder! I have a lip piercing hole that I hate too

They do it by cutting out the old scar tissue and creating a new cut that will scar less noticeably. There is still a scar there, it is just far less obvious.

Still going strong

Happy I did it! The hole is barely noticeable. I haven't done fillers or anything. In bright light there is still the tiniest hint of a scar. Its to minuscule for me to be remotely bothered by it

I *think* it was punch excision? But I'm not positive. If I were you, I would call a few plastic surgeon or dermatologists offices in your area and ask if they perform scar removal. Usually a consult is free and quick and they'll tell you how they'll do it, how much it'll cost, all that jazz. Im really glad I did it. I think based on your pictures, you'd be an excellent candidate. You're also young so I'd say do it sooner rather than later. Your skin will heal better.

did they tell you what it was called by any chance? I am searching for a doctor in my area.
