I never had a problem with how my nose looked when...

I never had a problem with how my nose looked when I was younger. During my thirties, the tip of my nose started to bulge out on the sides. It really started to bother me. I decided to have surgery to refine the tip and return it to a more feminine face.
I did a lot of research on local plastic surgeons and found Dr. David Magilke. The overall experience I had at the doctor’s office was a positive experience, except for one thing, the outcome. I had told the doctor that I wanted to keep my straight nose, that it was just the tip that bothered me. When the bandages came off a week later I was in shock. I had a huge tip and the bridge of my nose had been scooped out. The Dr said I had abnormal swelling but that he had gotten rid of the hump. I never had a hump! I went home devastated. The Dr never checked back with me on my “abnormal swelling”. After hoping and waiting over a year for year for my nose to normalize, I realized this is what it was going to look like. I can't even wear glasses because the bridge of my nose is so thin. I have had multiple people ask me if I ever thought about having a nose job. That is just great.
I don’t make a ton of money so paying for one let alone two surgeries wasn’t realistic. I have tried to ignore what I look like now and deal with it but I really would like to find a doctor to revise this mess. I am only terrified that it cold get worse. Then what?

The consult and day of the surgery went fine. The confidence and kindness of the staff was great. It was after the surgery that was devastating and disappointing. The rhinoplasty results were a disaster. A scooped out bridge and a lumpy tip. One recheck appointment to take the bandage off and to tell me I had abnormal swelling and then adios. He knew he did a bad job and just hoped I would disappear. I know I should have contacted them with my thoughts after the swelling subsided but I certainly would not trust him to revise it anyway. It's too bad that plastic surgeons aren't more ethical. Dr. Magilke should have admitted he didn't do a good job and gave me a refund or offered to pay for someone else to fix his terrible mistake. Please look at my profile. Pictures say it all.
