I never had a problem with how my nose looked when I was younger. During my thirties, the tip of my nose started to bulge out on the sides. It really started to bother me. I decided to have surgery to refine the tip and return it to a more feminine face.
I did a lot of research on local plastic surgeons and found Dr. David Magilke. The overall experience I had at the doctor’s office was a positive experience, except for one thing, the outcome. I had told the doctor that I wanted to keep my straight nose, that it was just the tip that bothered me. When the bandages came off a week later I was in shock. I had a huge tip and the bridge of my nose had been scooped out. The Dr said I had abnormal swelling but that he had gotten rid of the hump. I never had a hump! I went home devastated. The Dr never checked back with me on my “abnormal swelling”. After hoping and waiting over a year for year for my nose to normalize, I realized this is what it was going to look like. I can't even wear glasses because the bridge of my nose is so thin. I have had multiple people ask me if I ever thought about having a nose job. That is just great.
I don’t make a ton of money so paying for one let alone two surgeries wasn’t realistic. I have tried to ignore what I look like now and deal with it but I really would like to find a doctor to revise this mess. I am only terrified that it cold get worse. Then what?
