WORTH IT$7,200
I am a 32yo petite mom of two breastfed boys. I've always been flat chested, though motherhood allowed me to experience breasts up to D cups. It's been about 4.5yrs since my second was born and my breasts have settled into their final form: flat and a little deflated. I do have some tissue and skin leftover from having them stretched out with breastfeeding, though they don’t fit bras correctly- so I currently don’t wear them- just some light pads to keep my nipples from showing.
I've been looking into breast augmentation for two years now. Having breasts, for me, was extremely empowering. I grew up flat chested and tomboyish, so it allowed me to feel feminine in my skin for the first time. Super large breasts were cumbersome- I didn’t enjoy that too much, but a full B/C cup were fun to dress up- I looked better in clothes and really got to embrace my femininity. I miss that.
My boob goals are to keep them on the smaller/medium side, but filled out. I love lingerie and can’t wait to buy some to wear again! I’m going with my doctor’s suggestion of 275cc, smooth round moderate profile Allergan silicone. My breasts are asymmetric naturally, the nipples point in different directions when they’re large and they each have a different shape. One looks a little more droopy, which i’m sure breastfeeding didn’t help. The surgery will not correct the asymmetry since the volume of each are relatively the same. I’m fine with that. I had my consult last september, sat on it for a while, and had my pre-op this past week. My surgery is officially in 10 more days.
I signed up for a travel reward credit card to make the boob job payment. The reward points i'll accumulate with the signup bonus will be enough to get me a round trip ticket somewhere- two birds with one stone! I'll transfer my balance to another 0% interest credit card before the first month, and portion out the payments over 12-15mo.
My post-surgery bra was ordered, pre-surgery forms filled out, and blood thinning agents (from omega-3's to advil) was advised to be stopped at this point. Check check and check.
The pics posted are from my consult- top is how I currently look and the bottom is a 275cc simulation.

Surgery
10a pickup pain meds.. cause I lost my paper prescription and couldn't get hold of the doctor the day before. I was able to pickup within the hour of it getting sent in the morning though!
1130a shower- no special soap, just my regular Dr. Bronners baby soap.
1250p check into surgery center, verified paperwork, payment, contact info for my ride home
115p nurse takes me back and I change into a gown, blue scrub shower cap thing, & given socks. I keep my undies on. Vitals taken and I'm hooked up to an IV drip, that was dripping too fast (the nurse noticed like 30m later). I take a dose of painkillers (3 big pills), pregnancy test, and answer a questionaire about medical history and any removable devices that might be on my body. Compression put around my calves (they look like those floatation devices for kids) and I waited under a metallic blanket being filled with hot air (so warm...) for the doctor, anesthesiologist, and OR nurse.
245p I'm starting to doze off at this point cause my surgery was scheduled for 215p but everyone comes at once and things get set into motion fast. OR nurse asks me same medical questions, gives me a timeline of what to expect going into the OR. Doctor marks me up and reviews again that boob job won't take care of asymmetry and goes over more aftercare. Anesthesiologist asks few more questions and let's me know what to expect from anesthesia. They see me one at a time but back to back. Everyone answers my questions and I use the bathroom (cause IV drip kept me so hydrated...) and I get wheeled into the OR.
Surgery prep: anesthesiologist hooks me up to some monitors, OR nurse hooks up my compression calf device, and vital readings. Two other assistants scrub in and a mask of oxygen is put on me to knock me out...
I'm dreaming and less than half awake and hear my doctor say something... Then it's a nurse waking me up. I get wheeled into a holding area while I try to regain consciousness. Another nurse comes and helps, gets me Ginger ale, some buttered toast, and anti nausea pill, but it's all terrible and I'm feeling sick as hell. My ride waits with me until we decide to go.
615p The nurse wheels me downstairs and I puke up my toast and ginger ale. I'm feeling much much better but still a little nauseous. We get home and my ride (he's actually my roommate and close friend haha) makes sure I get into my room ok, sets up a puke bucket (which I didnt end up using, yay), gets me a banana and peels an orange for me... Makes sure everything is alright and then heads off to watch a movie while I pass out
1030p I wake up and feel [RS bleep] amazing... Ok well not amazing but the anesthesia has worn off. My boobs hurt initially but that fades real quick once I get out of bed. I'm a little shaky, like I just went through something traumatic physically, but mentally alert and feeling so so happy with my boobs. There are no bandages, just my compression bra, and the size is perfect. There's really no bruising... Just a small dime sized one near my armpit.
1130p I finally eat some food. Its been over 24hrs since I've had a real meal and I'm actually not that hungry, but starting to feel like I should probably have something. I eat some leftover noodles (japjae) and rice & vegetable rolls (kim bop, for all you who know asian food). Also some coconut water, yum!
Pain: So before I get into that, storytime: the first time my milk came in after having baby#1 was intense. My breasts got bigger than D cups, felt like it was up to my neck (this is from being flat chested) and I cried from how much it hurt. This felt nothing like that at all. I felt like I had some milk come in- a decent amount to cause discomfort but nothing insane... And then decided to do a hardcore chest workout on top of that, so pretty achy but very manageable. I haven't needed any pain meds yet, and honestly the most uncomfortable thing I felt my l was my dry scratchy throat from the anesthesiologist putting a tube down it.
Stats: final implants are Natrelle Inspira 275cc. So far it feels and looks incredibly natural. I'm very very happy with it.

Thanks for sharing your experience so far!! They look great! I am scheduled for 275 cc implants on April 27th. So nice to get to follow others' experiences first. Keep updating as you can! : )

Awesome and thanks! Yeah I'll definitely keep updating and look forward to seeing your progress too :)

You look fantastic! I’m going in for 275cc implants in two days (March 27) and will be thrilled the sisters come out looking like yours! I’m going in with similar asymmetry in fullness/nipple placement, and similar goals as well. I want to look good in swimsuits and lingerie, but also want to be able to comfortably run a few more marathons, so the full B/small C range sounds perfect to me too (I’m currently an AA). Your post made me feel good about the 275cc choice. I’ve been spending the last couple weeks worrying if the 275s will be too big or too small. Hopefully they turn out to be just right! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you and yay I'm glad my review helped! I really like the size they came out, we'll see how they heal but so far I'm very happy with it. Good luck with your surgery! It'll be a breeze :)

End of day 2
The funny thing is that now that I've had the surgery, I spend a lot less time thinking about my boobs. They already feel part of me- like they were always supposed to be there. I've had breasts from nursing, and this is how it felt! I love reaching down and realizing that they're there- it feels and looks super natural (particularly in real life), although still a bit high. I've started looking at lingerie online, thinking about which ones I want to get once they've healed. It's fun.
Pain: There is discomfort and I'm careful about my movements, but it is very manageable and I still haven't taken any kind of pain meds. Every now and then I'll stretch or move in a way to make it feel like I'm getting a cramp in my boobs, or a pins and needles sensation. The pins and needles sometimes make my boob go knumb. Generally my ribs hurt and are more tender than my boobs (I'm assuming from them handling me while I was passed out?). I've been taking a regular dose of calcium magnesium potassium (in a single food based pill), which I started taking a year ago to help with cramping from working out. I figure it couldn't hurt. I'm also taking arnica orally and topically applying it to relieve some swelling- again because I already use it regularly and know it works for me.
The area directly above my incision, up to my nipple, is dead sensation wise- it feels knumb. The incision itself is starting to feel itchy under the bandage.
Rolling in and out of bed is doable but can give me that cramping sensation, so I have to be careful and slow about it. My doctor recommended doing full range at circles before bed and in the morning so I've been keeping up with that- it's been getting easier and I more or less have full range of movement in my arms- I'm just not able to apply a lot of pressure when opening/closing things.
Sleep: I've been sleeping on my back and while I'm usually a side sleeper, I figured out a way to make it comfy! I stack a memory foam shaped pillow on top of a firm back sleeper pillow (it's quite firm!) And scooch so that my back is halfway up the memory foam pillow. It's been working for me.
Etc: I'm bloated as hell. I haven't weighed myself but it feels like I gained 10lbs. I'm sure the IV drip being on too fast is the reason why. I've been drinking lots of tea and peeing a ton. I'm thinking I'm just going to do a water load for a couple days, then stop one day to trick my body to keep peeing liquids out without taking more in. Hopefully that'll resolve it.
Even though I haven't had pain meds, I haven't pooped yet so I think I'm gonna get laxatives to see if that also alleviates the bloat.
I haven't gone outside yet but my first checkup is later today (I'm typing this at 1am) so it's gonna force me out. I'm also going to get some groceries. We'll see how that goes!

wow! they’re looking really good!!! I’m an RN and will just add that your bloating is much more likely from the fact that you haven’t had a bowel movement than the IV fluids. Try some prunes, a stool softener or a light laxative to get you going & you should feel much better! even though you haven’t been taking pain meds, just the inactivity can slow down your bowel function. good luck! but, you seem to be doing awesome!!

Awesome, thanks and I appreciate the insight! Definitely gonna pick up some prunes and stuff at the grocery store today
