Similar pose to original photo. I think this works. Got a bit too much sun golfing today (we are on vacation) and I’m not happy about it as I’m pretty anal about hats and sunscreen but the Yuma
Sun is brutal! So I guess I’m already at 9 months!

Thanks so much for continuing to post. I'm planning to get this done, probably with Lawrence Kass in November. My biggest worry is that I run and cycle a lot and plan to move back to Australia about 12 months after the peel. So unavoidable harsh sun, albeit I'll wear factor 50 daily. Would you say it makes your skin more sensitive than before? I was hoping that after the healing phase, the main issue with the sun would be starting to acquire fresh sun damage, but that the skin wouldn't be more susceptible to accumulating it.

Well there is a chance that your skin will be more sensitive...he did tell me that. I actually went to Mexico about almost 2 months after I had it done...I made a "buff" face mask by cutting slits for my eyes and mouth in the buff and wore it in the pool...The buff had an spf and I also used sunscreen...I used Dr. Bensimon's sunscreen on my face the whole time of course...and I wore hats everywhere. I personally don't feel like my skin is more sensitive but I do remember telling me that was a possibility. I'd say you were in good shape if you aren't going for a year! I've got Australia on my bucket list!

Fab. Thanks for that. And if you ever get to Australia, go see the great barrier reef. It's truly the most stunning sight you're ever likely to see.

I had a hetter deep chemical peel about 2.5 years ago. I do have more sensitive skin now but I have no regrets at all about doing it. I am more picky about what products I use (can't tolerate waxing or anything now) and if I have a couple of glasses of wine, I get real red in the face. I am of Scottish decent so I have a propensity toward a red face but it just comes easier now. I have had no fillers or botox and still look years younger than people my age. Like I said, zero regrets for having it done!

You look amazing - I was wondering if you had any fillers in additon to the mask?
February 22, 2018
No I haven't...just the peel.

Hi, You look great! Congratulation! I have sent email to Bensimon Center one month ago and am still waiting for an answer. I have skin damage and am thinking seriously about this peel. Can you tell me do you have any long term side effects like bumpy skin, bad texture, scaring, redness that does not go away ?
April 9, 2018
I'm sorry to hear they haven't responded...makes me think something got lost because I've had nothing but the best service from them. I would suggest calling them? I have had no lingering redness or any scarring etc. Good luck to you!

Thank you! I thought there must be so much waiting list that's why they have not answered me yet?

Do you at this point feel it got rid of any jowling? That is my major concern. Thanks you look beaultiful!
November 18, 2018
I did get rid of some of it. But there is a gravity issue and he said that certain aspects can only be done by surgery and that's one of the areas.

Just posting a 4 month picture. Very pleased with my results. I do notice the area under my eyes appearing a little (look how bad they were to start with so I'm not that surprised!) and my doctor said I could touch up any areas (part of the cost) if I felt like I needed to. I will see how I feel this winter as I won't be able to much before that anyway if I decide to.

Do you know if it makes the skin more resistant to fresh wrinkles. I have crepey skin on my upper cheeks that botox won't fix, but only shows when I smile. I was wondering whether it may help with the dynamic wrinkles a little by making the skin a bit thicker (my skin is very thin). Also, have you been advised to always be out of the sun? I would never sunbathe, but I do spend a lot of time outside doing sports and want to be able to do that agin. Oh and, sorry, a final question. As I don't wear foundation and I swim a lot, so once the initial redness goes, does the skin tone match your neck or do you have to always wear makeup? Thanks a lot. You look so great it gives me hope!

The process as I understand it, is that when the peel process heals it promotes a much thicker collagen hence almost all of my wrinkles (sun damage and aging) were vastly improved and a lot disappeared. Check out the photos I posted. Of course after years of sun and spending the money on the peel, I wouldn't actively "sunbathe" ever againbut he does have a wonderful and expensive sunblock/screen that is tinted. I put that on and I'm outside a lot, walking, gardening, kayaking etc. Funny, I also swim...my issue with swimming was when he cleared me to swim I felt the chlorine or the salt? caused my face to be red when I got out...a bit irritating...however, I waited another month and now actively lap swim with no problems at all. I haven't noticed any skin tone changes although he did tell me sometimes you can have the area above your lip lighten up and I think the disclosure sheet you sign does mention possible pigment issues, but I haven't experienced any. My skin tone matches my neck. I've never worn foundation but I am a fan of the slightly tinted sunscreen he has.

Does the procedure help get rid of jowls? In your picture it kind of appears that way, although yours looked minimal if at all.

I have not heard of this peel and I am about your age and saw my esthetician yesterday re: something to do with my lack luster skin . You look at least ten years younger and your skin look wonderful!! The gal at my doctor's office suggested an Illumipeel in conjunction with dermaplaning. I am a bit scared of this procedure and will do lots of research on the dermaplaning part. By the way, I do see this gal at a plastic surgeon's office.

Wow, you look Fabulous! I didn’t realize the process got rid of the deeper wrinkles, how long will it last ?
November 3, 2017
Well you will still age, but the collagen comes back so thick after healing from this. He said I will still have aging of course but a very long time! You have to remember this is not a facelift.

I’m going to be scheduling an online consult as I live in So Cal. If I had the peel in Portland, what would be your estimate on how many days or weeks would I yay up there for? It’s all about the logistics. I know I want him to do my peel. Thanks!
November 6, 2017
Well I spent one night in Portland because after the peel you have to come back the next day and get the green mask put on which stays on for a week minimum (it sloughs off)..so theoretically you could go home but you might want to buy one of those strange sunblock head gear things that look like a motorcycle face shield..lol...although I would recommend a couple of nights because you will still be sleeping off your procedure meds...then go home if you want. He sent me home with some stuff to help get the last of the mask off if you need it because I live a couple of hours away and then he let me text him pictures of my face so I didn't have to drive back in. It worked out great! Then I went in and had a follow up. If you are flying and can't go back and forth then I would say 7-10 days depending on how fast you heal and how fast your mask sloughs off.
