I am writing this review to pay it forward. This site was an invaluable tool in helping me make this decision more comfortably. Being able to see real before and after pics helped give me a realistic idea of what my outcome could be. Overall, I had no real problems with my implants. They just never felt right. The plastic surgeon went larger than ee had discussed and i always felt they were just too big. They also didn't feel like breasts. After 2 pregnancies, breastfeeding and gaining some weight they got even larger. They always felt in the way of daily life and exercise. For years I contemplated removing them and decided at 40 it was time. I am so happy to be me again.

Loving my outcome so far...nervous about going back into the real world because there is an obvious difference. I just keep reminding myself that worrying about what other people think is part of what got me into this mess to begin with. Will continue to post progress....

Happy for you. I'm thinking about it too. May I ask the name of the dr that did the first ones. Not to discourage you by any means but as far as the symmetry, placement and no scars or contracture, the dr seems to have done an excellent job. Except of course for the most important part, that you didn't want them that big. I feel the same way with me. I used the word "conservative." I wanted a little more but my 350 ccs in a size 34a-b chest just makes me feel too self conscious. I can't carry that off. I told the dr I am very conservative and prefer to be more subtle. So I fully understand wanting to go back to what you had before.

I forgot to add, the reason why is because I will probably get an implant again. It will be saline again. And maybe under the muscle. Yours seem to have been under the muscle because you retained a good shape. Were they completely under the muscle? You can tell when you weight lift if only that top of the implant is under the muscle vs the WHOLE implant covered by the muscle because it forces the implant and contorts it during exertion.

The doc that did the was Dr. Barek in Great Neck, NY...he did a great job..the scars were good too, just too big and not right for me. They were under muscle completely I believe but did contort when i worked out. Good luck whatever you decide.

Beautiful, natural breasts! Thank you immensely for paying it forward and sharing your experience. What has been the most difficult part of this recovery for you?

Recovery has not been difficult at all. Sore for the first couple of days. I was unable to rest much due to having 2 young children and am still doing well. I think the hardest part is yet to come..facing the world and all the questions that come with it. But that is all part of the journey of self acceptance!
