I've been stalking this great site for about a...
I've been stalking this great site for about a year now. It's been super helpful to read everyone's journey through body contouring and pick up tips to help me in my decision on my tummy tuck.
I have wanted this for 25 yrs since I had my second child but just could not justify the $$. Well, this past year, I went through breast cancer with reconstruction and my last surgery was a fat transfer. Today, my PS said we need another fat transfer. We discussed a tummy tuck and that she would have ample supply of fat to use if she did the tummy tuck at the same time. Sooo, it's going to happen and I'm so jazzed up. It's like a dream come true. We're going to shoot for middle of April. I need to call tomorrow and get on her surgical schedule and work out payment. Some of the surgery will be covered by insurance, most not, of course.
It's going to be great to have a normal tummy for summer!!! Amen! The great thing is that my husband is totally on board. Just worried. I'm going to need to find a recliner to borrow or rent.
I would appreciate any suggestions from you seasoned TT's with regards to what I need to get, eat, take, etc. to help me be ready and heal the quickest.

So, wondering what most of you ladies do to prep...
So, wondering what most of you ladies do to prep your "biscuit" area for surgery?? Do you just let the surgeon shave you or are a lot of you going in for a brazilian? I would think that would itch less coming back in. Let me know and thanks to all for your help!!

Today was pre op day with my PS! Got all my prescriptions, talked about the procedure at great length, especially my BB and what that is going to look like. She makes small BB's which works for me. I'm also one of those people that most likely will have a small little vertical incision just above the TT incision from my old BB if I understand it correctly. It allows her to take more skin so i'm all about that! She's also making my incision really low as I have an old incision from bladder repair and they used it for ovary removal so she's going underneath that for a starting point. I'm so excited...20 days from now and I'll have a normal tummy. To be honest, I can't imagine what its going to be like to look in the mirror and not see that kangaroo pouch. Amen. I just thank God that I have this opportunity! I think i'm going to pick up a cane as someone suggested to help with my back...found some on craigslist for $20. I think my husband is totally sick of my obsessing over this and how much I talk about it add read about it, etc. I mean, he's super supportive, but it has been all I talk about since I made my decision. Ooops! So, today I shelled out an addition $1500 for lipo on my saddlebag area. Why not, i'm in there, just do it. So now i'm all paid up with the surgeon, now I just need to pay the surgery center in the next 20 days. Unfortunately, my car died on me today :( not sure what that is going to cost to fix. May have to push up buying a new one...new body, new car?? :) Happy healing to all!!
