I came to know of Dr. Wulc by one of his own peers, Dr. Marc Cohen. Both work in cosmetic surgery and specialize in cosmetic surgery of the eyes and upper face. I am from the DC area and had 4 previous consultations with other surgeons in an attempt to have those surgeons correct a poor filler application administered by another DC cosmetic. It was not until I made the trek to Philly and saw my previous surgeon, Dr. Cohen that he sadly told me he couldn’t help me, but he thought he knew someone who could. Enter Dr. Wulc. He is not your typical plastic surgeon; this doctor is not a salesman, but rather someone who is extraordinarily educated, very deliberate and thoughtful in what he thinks is the right option, and is honest when he feels there might not be one. His staff is no exception. Between Debbie, Gina, Carol, Tara, Jean Marie...the list goes on and on. This group is not just a great group of women, but they are all very educated on each and every procedure, will never up sell you on something and are dead honest in telling you something is not worth doing or getting. I’ve been getting Intracel done by Gina for the last few months and honestly, I think she is a miracle worker. Dr. Wulc does my dysport and it’s the most amazing result...every time! Can’t say enough about this group!

I don’t understand what you have done? Have Malar Bags after cheek filler too and searching for a treatment??
October 5, 2018
Yes, I developed malar bags or festoons after getting cheek fillers. The original surgeon placed the filler too high and the bags appeared. I saw several surgeons and Dr. Wulc felt that tightening the skin around the lower eyelid would minimize the shadows/bags. Intracel is microneedling PLUS radiofrequency which restores the original collagen and tightens the skin. It ultimately is what helped me. For more information I would YouTube intracel to see if it would work for you

So you do not dissolve your filler? Did your malar bags dissapear from intracel? Did he do the intracel on the malar bags too or just around them?

He did not dissolve the filler. His nurse Gina does the Intracel treatment and she does all around my under eye and she does the entire cheek region. Bc hydrolaudraise (filler remover) also has the potential to dissolve your own collagen, I opted to not do that. Especially bc Intracel not only helps to naturally dissolve the filler, it also promotes collagen renewal. After 3 sessions my bags are practically gone and I can see my natural collagen is coming back. Please keep in mind, my bags were very very mild, and were caused exclusively by the filler bc Voluma is a product that holds water and should never have been used in the upper cheek region bc it of its propensity to be hydrophilic. If you are local, my best advice is go see him. He will give you all the time you need during the consult and will tell you very HONESTLY what he can for you and if he can’t help you, he will tell you that too.

Thank you for your reply. My Malar Bags are very mild and caused by cheek filler too. May I ask how much was injected each cheek? I have only 0,5 ml each cheek. Do you see if your volume in your cheesks decrease too? So the filler dissolve? I think I will try intracel but I am not local so I have to try an other doctor.

I had 0.7 in left side and 1.0 in right. And I did not need that much - I should have never allowed for doc to continue after he split the first syringe btwn both cheeks. I would say intracel helps break up some of the filler so it filters naturally out of your body. Keep in mind that yes, I would say the filler dissolved and intracel May have helped it somewhat but it’s also been well over a year and some months that I had the filler injected so I believe the filler has dissolved on its own as well. The best way I can describe intracel is that it gave me back my own natural collagen and provided the lift I needed back to my own cheeks thereby replacing the need for anything artificial. My face looks like my own face again but so so much better and younger if that makes sense. As far as finding a doc who has intracel I wish you luck. This treatment is most common in London and only a few docs are using intracel here in the US. I would go out of my way to find an intracel doc if I were you. Do not fall into the trap of a doctor telling you they have Infini RF - they will claim its the same thing as intracel and it’s not. Best of luck.

So happy for you it works! This is really distressing me as I was fine before and just want a little touch up for my tear throughs. My injector than said I do not need it yet and therefore I thought I have to inject something when I come to him... Big mistake! Hope it dissolve! I have hope because it is only a little amount and it is not voluma. It is Teoxane Teosyal RH4 and have to last 12-22 months. Maybe it dissolves faster then voluma. I live in Germany and finde some practioners who do intracel but I am worried to make it worse because I read that lasers and microneedling can make malar bag worse. Do you remember how long the needles were?

Are you better nos?

I am. I keep going every 3 months for upkeep.

100%. I’ve never never felt or looked better. I’m 44 and no one knows it bc of this procedure. My own natural collagen came back, the mild malar bags from the filler alll went away and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be doing Intracel for the long term. That said, the procedure is only as good as the operator and my nurse is incredible and aggressive. Again, Dr. Wulcs office is the way to go. Fly, drive, do whatever you need to, but go to PA to have it done.

Im from brazil... I had eye fillers... But Im afraid of hyaluronidase. So Im looking for others solutions... your filler dissolved?
April 11, 2019
Yes, the Intracel helped a lot to dissolve it naturally. My docs advised against hyaluronidase bc it can take additional collagen away. If you can find Intracel in your country, do it

What isintracel and how does it work
August 6, 2019
It’s micro-needling with radio frequency. It restores your natural collagen, tightens skin and restores skin laxity. Here’s a link with more information. Also, you can go on YouTube to view the procedure. https://perigee.com/intracel/

Thank you so much! And you think it helps dissolve filler? Voluma left me its malar mounds when I smile. I still feel the rubbery substance in some places and dissolving does not completely remove it.

It would be amazing if it could help dissolve. How many treatments did it take? And how long? Thank you so much for the info!

ok, so basically you are going through the same thing I went through. I got injected and botched by a plastic surgeon who injected voluma too high in the cheek and near the eye area and I developed malar bags as a result. Remarkably they were worse when I was static and not smiling but bottom line was I had them. I saw a ton of PS' and no one was willing to touch me absent injecting me w hyaluronidase which was something I wanted to stay away from since it also dissolves your own collagen. It's a terrible remedy to removing filler bc it will take your own natural collagen and make you more sunken than you originally were. The intracel works to breakdown the filler naturally and it filters it out of your body naturally - usually moving through the lymph nodes and then it excretes out the body naturally. I got the botched filler in 2/2018 and by 10/18 I saw real progress. By 12/18, I looked amazing and I got to watch my skin tighten and plump up all on its own by virtue of the fact that is what intracel is designed to do. It is a very aggressive form of collagen induction therapy. I will tell you tho....it depends more on the operator than it does on the tool. The tool is great, but its only as good as the person using it. If you don't have someone who knows what they are doing and/or is not aggressive enough, you will have to undergo a fair number of procedures to see any real results. Also, its not cheap - it runs about 600-1000 dollars a session depending on where you live. Most places who do it tho will offer you a package bc you will need a minimum of 4 treatments to see a difference. So I started out with 4 treatments which was $2000. I now go every 12 weeks for maintenance and continue to gain more of my own collagen back and experience plumper, tighter skin as as result. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the info! I will look for intracel. so far I have only found fractora and vivace rf microneedling. Did you notice if it affected your natural cheek volume or just the filler? Thank you so much. you are so helpful. You are an angel!
