Marked Results Are Amazing After Only Three Weeks!

This treatment was going to target areas of my face from my cheekbones to under my chin and neck. I have acne scars around my lip and mouth area, and I have fine lines around my mouth, on the side of each cheek.The procedure began with a skin-numbing cream that was applied very generously from my cheekbones to my neck. Despite the numbing cream there was a very fine prickly sting with each pulse of the plasma pen. There was also a distinct sound with each pulse. Eventually, I got used to the sound and stinging of the pen pulses.The immediate result after the procedure left me with small lines of puncture dots that surrounded fine lines and acne scarring. The patterns left by the plasma pen resembled an artistic tatoo design worn by some Native Alaskan women. Tiny, scabs developed where the Plasma pen application was used. I took a Tylenol and relaxed the rest of the day.For the next few days, I rested at home and out of the sun as much as possible. The day to day progress was amazing in terms of tenderness, redness and scabbing. Within one week the scabs had disappear and the healing process began. Gradually all the treated areas with scabs healed nicely. I noticed a smoother, more even-toned surface texture of my face. It has now been three weeks and I continue to see results from this procedure. I have results that show a softening of the marionette lines that develop around the mouth, and I have a dramatically smoother texture with fewer wrinkles on my neck.

The surface area of my face below my nose needs a lot of attention. In addition to acne scarring, time has produced deeper marionette lines and vertical lip lines.

So, I went to Dr. Yew for the Plasma Pen procedure on these areas. The results did not disappoint me.  The procedure took about an hour once the numbing creme took effect. I did not need to take any medicine for pain and kept my face clean and dry for the first two days.  There is a mask mandate for Honolulu, so even though you could see how the Plasma Pen created a read scabby look for a few days, my mask concealed the healing process completely. All in all it only took about a week for the redness and scabbing to heal. The immediate result is a soft pink layer.  It's been about two weeks now, and I see how the treated area has added new tone and texture to my overall complexion. I am careful to use sunscreen and stay out of the sun. I would like to return to Dr. Yew and do more of my cheek area that is closer to my cheekbones the next time.
