Yes , I did it :).
Thank you all realself community members for posting your reviews…, Sorry for my English , it is not even second language :(
I am 56 y.o now and been contemplating getting a face lift for 2-3 years now… read a lot of articles about different types of procedures done in US and Europe. There are many very good you tube videos from Europe, at least I got some understanding of how it was done years ago and what the techniques are now. Did fillers : bellafil, Juvederm, Botox. Juverderm did last 6-7 mo (%50) left…
So I had been researching Dallas PS for the long time and decided on Vertical lift (MACS and platysmaplasty, upper blepharoplasty).
Dr. Roberts did my lips 2 y. ago--very happy about it. It turns out he was trained extensively in the vertical lift, that I was researching for 1-2 y.. Older PS still would perform old school techniques (my opinion..)
Anyway, surgery went well, I did not even remember anything. Just from my experience: wear very heavy /warm socks. No bra, they will remove everything :). Anesthesiologist called the day before to instruct and cheer me up (That helped). All staff was very supportive and professional, not even a minute of delay. Surgery started 8 a.m. and ended 3 p.m. including 1 hour recovery. Dr. Roberts does his stitching himself. I don’t know how men can do such beautiful stitching :).
First night was not bad at all. I wanted to rest for straight 24 hours (as some PS recommend, Very important), so I took X2 hydrocodone tablets just to sleep, not for pain…
On the second day the swelling started, so compression was very helpful. I did not use any ice, even for eyes, because it did not hurt.
Day 3: eye bruising started to subside, there were no bruises on my face though. Whole face felt very tight.
Day 4: tightness got much better.
I forgot to take Arnica pills, and did not use the Arnica cream either.
I do take InflammEnz (same as taking Bromelain and vitamin combo, there is a good research study on that. Google, please).
Elastic surgical ACE wrap works the best, it is stretchable and has Velcro. I stopped using it after day #2, even at night , had horrable HA/Migranes . No more HA, once I stopped Antibiotics..
Very hard to sleep on elevated wedge (it should be 45 deg. First wk and 30 deg after.. )
Day 6 : Much , Much better…

UPDATED FROM pectineus
6 wks post-op , Love it !!!

Had 6 wks post -op with Dr. Roberts. Love my Face so far :)
It is ALL worth it . The best money investment (in MY FACE ) LOL..
Looking back , just wanted to give some helpful advice:
1. First wk is quit difficult, mostly Not because of pain , but form getting over anesthesia.. you just don't feel good.. But Dr. Robert is a perfectionist .. surgery was around 4-5 h. I had my lip implants done under Local .... You still can " Feel it"..
2. 2 wks of "vacation " was too long.. I could go to work in 6-7 days..
3. It is recommended (by European PS ) to sleep First 24 hours after surgery..
, for better results ... so get your hydrocod. ready.
4. Swelling management is super important after surgery.. compression , compression , compression.. Surgical ACE wrap with velcro is The best. Or lymphaedema compression wrap (on Lymphaedema . com) - 6 cm.
5. Sleeping on wedge was quit difficult , try sleeping couple days before..
