My surgery turned out really well and I am happy...

WORTH IT$1,400
My surgery turned out really well and I am happy with the results. The staff were really nice and the nurse walked me through everything before and after, she was very kind. Clean office and results were not exaggerated. I did have a bad experience with laughing gas though, so reviewing in case anyone else ever does. I have had such anxiety and felt so unsure about what happened, plus I am horrified to have any laughing gas ever again. At first I felt fine but I recall the girl operating the laughing gas machine turn it up too much on accident and the nurse taking it off my face for a while and reapplying as if I was over sedated or there wasn't enough oxygen in the mix. Right when they began I stopped feeling my body, couldn't talk, and lost control of life it felt. I saw the light shut out one by one in a clock motion until I was in total darkness. I could think in the darkness, but it was clouded. I didn't remember anything on earth or even about myself. I had no concept of life on earth. I thought I died and remember saying Jesus and trying to be okay with passing. I could not say anything. In the darkness I was out of touch with everything and heard like trance music almost in my head somehow. Not long after I felt like I gasped for air and felt life again and saw light. Dr Freidman said "are you with us?" and I could reply then. I think it was only a few minutes where I felt like that, but it felt forever. After that I was conscious and could remember everything and what was going on - but I felt like I was in a trance. Perhaps I was not getting enough oxygen during the first stages of the operation or my body reacted badly with it. It still lingers in my mind though.

Before & After Photos
loladoll1309April 20, 2015
These are before photos and 4 months after surgery for comparison. I think my jawline looks SO much better in person and especially photos! No more double chin when I turn to the side or when I am looking downwards. I have so much more confidence without that little extra chin fat there.

Wow! It turned out fantastic! I just had it done 4 days ago but I'm in my late 50's. I only wish that this procedure would of been available when I was your age because I would of had it and not have had to deal with all these years of hating my neck profile. You look great!

Thank you! Yes I'm very happy with it and hope it helps as I age. Did you go under laughing gas during the procedure or have any problems?

No. I was given lorazepam [an anti-anxiety med] and vicodin. Since I am hyper sensitive to any and all medications those knocked me out! I pretty much slept through the whole thing-only being vaguely aware every once in a while. I guess I was "out" and they just allowed me to sleep since they didn't need the room. When the nurse nudged me awake and asked if I was ready to go home it was 5pm. I had gone in at 1pm and they started the proceedure around 2:30 I think. It seemed like only 10 minutes had gone by! Then, I went back to my hotel and slept like a baby from 6pm till 8am the next morning. It was a breeze. I don't know how I would have acted with laughing gas. And, I haven't heard of anyone using that anymore. Didn't know they still did. Seems rather archaic to me what with all the stuff available instead. Well, you got through it and that's over with. And you look great so, whew!

One additional thought: You may be hyper sensitive to medications too to have had the reaction you did. And I was thinking, the price you paid was half of what I paid, so that's a plus for sure.

Wow! You look great! My last comment was scary was referring to your reaction to the meds! Lol! I think you looked great before! I'm going on 4 weeks post op! Still swollen & lumpy. Extremely sensitive to touch too! I know it's a long process so I'm trying to be patient! Thanks for posting!

Your doctor did really nice work. I haven't seen my jawline in years. Still searching for a doctor who can perform this procedure well. Was 1,400 the exact cost? Did you put down a deposit?

Hi! Your results look awesome! I'm looking for a minimal correction like yours. How long were you swollen for?

Thanks! I really love my results, it helped so much with my confidence. I'm not afraid of the double chin photos anymore... haha! Swelling wasn't too bad ever honestly. Maybe the first 2-3 weeks you could see a little lump underneath. The lump was rough and had to be massaged for a good 3-4 months but after that it felt completely normal and went away!
