My upper lids were laying on my eyelashes and affecting my vision. It was to the point my contacts were being pushed around on my eyeballs from the weight of my lids. I'm very happy with the surgery and the outcome. The surgery was a bit more involved than I anticipated - I think because my skin is thicker and the lids were so heavy. Stitches were annoying & scratching my eyes for a week or so but once they came out things started healing fast. I couldn't wear makeup for two weeks and contacts for 3 weeks, and even then both were for limited times until I built up to a normal pattern. I'm guessing this is a case by case basis, but I had to delay both contacts and makeup. I'm two months out and still have a bit of purplish color on the lids and some bumps where the stitches were. You can't see any surgery marks unless I close my eyes and someone looks at them closely. Lids are basically numb. In time all these things will clear up. So glad I did it and wished I'd done it sooner! No regrets!

Dr. Vega and his staff are very kind and knowledgable. He genuinely cares about his patients and is always available to answer questions and return calls. The outpatient facility was modern, clean, and very organized. I would use Dr. Vega again, as well as the surgery center.
