Morning After Procedure
Okay it is now the morning after the procedure. Sleeping last night was a bit of a challenge because I had to sleep propped up which I hate cause I'm normally a belly sleeper. Needless to say I didnt get much sleep at all. Pain is pretty much nonexistent at this point. I took a percocet last time I woke up, around 6 in the morning just to help with the throbbing and to help me sleep better. It is now 9:30 and no pain at all. I've been icing like a mad woman and I think it really helped because the swelling has gone way down. I can also open my mouth a little wider then yesterday already. I do have a bruise mustache though! Hahaha. So far so good!

I think I'm definately going with the 5 mm. I think I'll regret it if I don't. My Dr is doing this under local anesthesia so I'm very nervous. Beauty is pain though, right?!?! And you feel good today? They really look so beautiful right now a couple days out!

I agree, honestly when I saw the implants in person i thought the 4mm looked so small to the 5mm like it was a pretty big difference. And the 5mm isnt that huge, if your lips are anything like my before lips I'd deff go 5mm. I've seen quite a few reviews on here from people wishing the 5mm were bigger! I feel pretty good today really, dont even need much pain meds!

Yes, that's why I decided on the 5's. I've been watching videos on them being implanted and it looks like no joke!! So you not being in a lot of pain is amazing.

See nine was under general anesthesia which honestly was amazing because i was out! I wonder if thats where sone of the extra pain comes from the dental blocks? Im not sure i feel like I got really lucky because for me it was over so fast!

You're probably right. I've read the dental blocks are very painful. Ughhh. When I go to my pre op appt next Thursday , I'm going to find out exactly. Surely I'll get pain meds to help with the pain. I'm having a lateral brow lift and upper and lower Bleph surgery as well.

Procedure Finished!
So today was the day! I was able to get my procedure done a day earlier then expected which was awesome. I started talking arnica yesterday for brusing. When I got to the surgery center I was NERVOUS NERVOUS, as I pretty much am for anything medical. The nurses I had helping me were very sweet though and tried to make me comfortable. I got abxious when one was putting in my IV, but she was so gentle and even cracked a joke to make me smile. Once that was in I was able to relax and wait and my boyfriend got to sit with me as well. When it was my time for surgery Dr Heil came over and explained the process again, and answered all my questions. He was also kind and reassuring that everything would run smoothly and I had nothing to fear. Then the anesthesiologist walked me through his part and took me in the surgery room. The surgery team was amazing as well, and explained everything they were doing as they were doing it, including administering the droswy drug into my IV (which made it sting just a bit) Last thing I remeber us talking to one of the girls about when I got Juvederm and next thing I knew I was waking up in the recovery room haha. I was feeling fine when I woke up as the numbing medicine had not worn off yet. The nurses gave me some applesauce and ice chips which I was able to eat relatively easy, but a little difficult due to how tight my lips are. They explained my medicine, etc to me and then wheeled me to my waiting boyfriend in the car. The drive home is about two hours. About 20 minutes in to the drive the pain and discomfort started to set in. Still, I would put it as maybe a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. It was throbbing and annoying. I couldnt drink water at all at first because I had to figure out how to swallow lol. I forced myself to eat the rest of the applesauce so I could take a Percocet as I had an empty stomach due to not being able to eat for the anesthesia. Once the pain meds set in I was fine though and was able to drink. I was also prescribed Zofran for nausea which I dont think I will need, and an antibiotic. When I got home I was able to eat some solid food. Now I'm just icing and relaxing!
