Great Septorrhinoplasty - Manchester, GB

ORIGINAL POST

Hi all, I shall tell you my experience with Mr T...

WORTH IT
Hi all, I shall tell you my experience with Mr T Woolford the ENT specialist who did my nose job.

I went to Mr Woolford after he was highly recommended to me by a couple of acquaintances who had rhinoplasty done by him. But I also did my own independent research to make sure I went to a proper ENT Board Qualified (in the UK specialist register) surgeon in the UK, as there are plenty of people out there doing nose jobs who are not specialist register ENT surgeons and who might give one a pretty looking nose but what good would that be if one cannot breath through it afterwards. I simply wanted the best. I found out that Mr Woolford is a Professor of ENT at a top University Hospital in Manchester with plenty of research publications to his name so he is by all accounts up to date with recent ENT and rhinoplasty developments; this is the sort of professional that I was looking to find to opérate on my nose. As I also have difficulty breathing through my nose so I wanted to make sure the rhinoplasty would not make that worse. Mr Woolford recommended a septorrhinoplasty for me; something only a proper ENT surgeon with aesthetic training/experience could do well IMHO.

I am now two weeks post op. My breathing through the nose is improving all the time and the swelling is already mínimal. The bump at the bridge of the nose has almost gone. Mr Woolford says that as the swelling goes down the nose will look straight and natural and it is already going that way at this early stage since the operation.

I found out that Mr Woolford is a Professor of ENT at a top University Hospital in Manchester with plenty of research publications to his name so he is by all accounts up to date with recent ENT and rhinoplasty developments; this is the sort of professional that I was looking to find to operate on my nose. I found Mr Woolford to be very friendly and genuine with excellent bedside manners and also very caring. He put my mind at easy when I first met him. We discussed the rhinoplasty aspect of the operation and he said he did not want to give my nose an operated look. I totally agreed on that with him so I left it up to Mr Woolford to suggest the best surgical approach to give me a more aesthetically pleasing nose. I just put myself in his hands and let him get on with it. I found Mr Woolford to be an honest, and serious ENT surgeon who did not pressurised me at all into having the operation. I know he did everything he could to improve my nose appearance. I also found out in the course of my preliminary investigations that Mr Woolford is very well known in the NW of England and enjoys an excellent professional reputation. I would not hesitase in recommending Mr Woolford as one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in the UK.

Thank you for sharing your personal experience with the community -- so glad to hear everything went so well for you. How was your recovery? Would you consider sharing some before and after photos with us?

Hi Eva G, thank you for wellcoming me to your lovely forum. I'm only 2 and half weeks post op and still have some swelling. I shall certainly put up a couple of before and after photos for you. I think it is important that people see the results. Mr Woolford says the final results are still a few months away. He asked me to see him again in about 2 months, so I shall upload a before and after photo then. My recovery has not been as traumatic or painful as I had anticipated. Mr Woolford has magic hands ! There is some swelling and redness at the bridge of the nose. I am also using plenty of sea water nasal spray moisturiser as a moisted nasal mucosa heals faster I am told.
Hi Eva G, I changed my name to Londiner from Doctor E yesterday as I also thought that I should not use the title of Doctor to avoid confusion as I am not a Forum Doctor but had to re register to do that. I did not realize I could have simply changed the name in prophyles. Do you mind sorting out this for me please?

Hi there, I responded to your private message and happy to help,  let's chat there. ☺

Great, so glad you're going to be sharing photos -- I will keep an eye out for them.

So glad he didn't botch your nose like he did mine. I can't stand the man. He ruined my life
Hi I have also had surgery with mr Woolford and I am extremely pleased with the result . I am 6 weeks post op and it's looking great. My nose was a complicated op after having surgery twice before off an ent and being left with saddle nose deformity . I would highly recommend mr Woolford .
I'm happy everything went well for you. Mr Woolford is the best ENT surgeon in the NW of England.
Hmm I beg to differ!! I would say the worst! Check out my pics of what mess he left me in
Hi do you have any photos please x
