WORTH IT
So I am a 42 year old female who has always struggeled with her weight. I was always a size 20 or up until my mid-twenties when I decided to go on weight watchers, and run up to 5 miles a day. However, after having my daughter at age 33 and more responsibilities when my career started developing my weight continued to fluxulate. Sometimes I would be a size 12, others a size 16.
This past 2 years have been the worst due to job related uses and moving from to another environment.
A year ago, I decided to do something for me and started my journey towards weight loss surgery.
At first I was denied, but on November 23rd, my surgery was approved.
I had my sugery on March 12, 2015.
It has been slow yet steady and I have lost 28 pounds over over the past three weeks.
I went back to work within 1 week. I would not recommend that for everyone but under the circumstances i had to; however, my post opt was wonderful and I am recovering just fine.
I am very weak now as my body is still adjusting to lack of calories compared to what I previously ate but I know it will get better.
My goal is to start the gym next week. We will see how it goes. Today my boss says, "wow, you are looking skinny!". That really brightened my day. I will start showing pictures, etc. soon take care!

So I am now down from 227-189 and a size 14. This feels great.
A few weeks ago I had complications. I had kidney stones which we think are the result of a massive diet change. They were painful and I was in the hospital but everythings good now.
Also, I found that I have low potassium It's weird how your body starts to change.
In addition, I still have to drink protein shakes once a day (usually for breakfast). If I do not, I am extremely week and faint like. I was hoping to move away from Protein shakes.
I see my dietian next month. I am hoping she can assist. Otherwise, I guess Protein Shakes are not the end of the world.

You look amazing! And such drastic weight loss. Can I ask what your daily diet is like? Do you still do protein shakes? I'm four months post op but I've hit a stall. Looking for a jump start. Thanks in advance!!

Thank you. Yes I still do protein shakes but as my breakfast, which I think is a nice habit to have anyway. I make sure I get 60-80 grams protein, Flacky meet for the most part so tuna salmon, some chicken or turkey but mostly veggie products. Snack on cheese a lot. 3 meals two snacks.
