Two Days After Seventh Treatment

I finally went back for my seventh treatment! After six treatments my tattoos had faded to the point that I no longer felt uncomfortable wearing short sleeves or cropped and 3/4 sleeve jackets to work or wearing heals without a band-aid covering my foot tattoo. A seventh session may have been unnecessary for some people, and maybe if I waited even longer, they would fade out further on their own. I decided to do another session because I did not want to continue waiting only to get to summer and decide I needed another treatment.
This last treatment we again increased the power of the laser, this time it was at a 4, and we also went back over it with a second laser that targets a different spectrum of pigment. Even though I had all black ink, as the pigment fades, it can be harder for the one laser to target the faded pigment which is why we needed to use the second laser.
I had laser Friday just before lunch and it is now Sunday morning. Yesterday a few small blisters began to form, but this morning I woke up with a few more small blisters. Last night I woke up in discomfort which hasn’t happened since my first treatment. The increased discomfort is probably because I have been more active in the last two days than I was after other treatments. Additionally, I have not been as diligent in keeping my wrists covered in ointment. My foot, which is much easier to keep covered with tegaderm, is not causing any unusual discomfort.

Picosure Tattoo Removal

The procedure is mildly uncomfortable, but it is quick! I go o Absolute Laser Tattoo Removal in Hermosa Beach. ATLR allows patients to arrive prior to the appointment to receive a topical numbing agent. The actual laser treatment will depend on the size of tattoo, but for my three tattoos all about the size of a business card, it was less than 15 minute total. The further along in the process I have gotten, the longer it takes. This is because some parts fade faster and will require a different setting, so essentially we are going through the tattoo twice.
I am most uncomfortable after the procedure. Within 30 minutes the treatment sites feel very raw. I had the most swelling after my very first treatment, but every treatment thereafter I have only experienced minimal swelling. Blisters never occurred until my fifth treatment. The nurse explained that by the change in laser settings. Oddly, the different setting is not more painful.
I think I only have a few more sessions to go.
