I am so glad that I chose Dr. Picerno for my lower face-lift! Of course I was anxious about the procedures and interviewed two other local doctors here in Denver in addition to Dr. P but I have been going to her for injectables for 5+ years and she has always made me feel comfortable, unrushed and truly cared for, not to mention my satisfaction with the outcomes. Dr. P only performs PS on faces so not only does she explain all of your options and outcomes in detail, but she is incredibly skilled, nano-detailed down to every stitch and staple, gentle beyond belief and up-to-date with all the latest techniques. That gave me a great deal of comfort and I actually consulted with her several times over the last two years with questions regarding the procedures and she was so patient every time and went into great detail with regards to my questions and expectations. She explained to me that her techniques provide the least conspicuous and most natural results (i.e. almost invisible scars). I had told only my husband and three friends that I was having the surgery and that wasn't even necessary (well, my husband of course!). I love the smooth jaw line but honestly, it doesn't look like I have had any 'work' done, it is so subtle & natural but so obvious to me! I just look more like myself and it shows in the twinkle of my eyes (not the wrinkles!)! It was important to me that my PS fostered an open, relaxed and happy atmosphere. Dr. P and her staff excel in this area. I felt that my procedures and outcomes were very important to them and they did everything in their power, down to the smallest detail, to make me feel truly cared for - before, during and after surgery! I had very little bruising or swelling afterwards thanks not only to her precision techniques but to the ice-flow machine they recommended and to following her instructions to the 'T'! Be sure to wear the elastic chin support 23+ hours a day for as long as she tells you and to keep your head elevated and the ice flow machine a'flowin'! The pain was surprisingly minimal after that first night, in fact, after I had my post-surgery visit the following day, I only took the pain meds infrequently for two more days. I am female, was 61 at the time of my procedures last year, very active (only took 2 weeks off from working out!) and now my smiles match the way I look and feel! I can't thank Dr. P (and Kerry) enough for all of your care!
