Day 4
StarsignOctober 24, 2014
Surgery on Sunday 19/10/14 at Bangkok Phuket Hospital and could not fault the whole procedure. Hospital was clean well organised and Dr. Piyapas very professional. Neck, lower/mid face lift and under eye correction was performed
Day 5 and starting to get an idea how neck will look. Wearing neck band as much as possible but difficult to sleep. Saw Dr. Piyapas yesterday and he was happy with progress. Sutures under eye irritating and feel like they are pulling upper outer corners of eyes. Hope when sutures removed this will release the upper eye. So far I would have to say although uncomfortable there has been minimal pain, only requiring paracetamol a couple of times a day. May problem for me has been sleeping and glad I bought a V pillow with me. Sutures out next Monday if all ok.

You're looking great. What is a V pillow - is that the same as a wedge?

Hi..well it is now 6 weeks post op for me and all going well..nerves are regenerating and some sensitivity around side of face. Still have ridge under chin and feel this area has now loosened quite a bit now swelling has subsided. I would have liked it to stay a little 'tighter ' lol...
A V pillow or U pillow is a long pillow shaped in the form of the letter U. In Aus we also call them 'boomerang' pillows. It was great support for sleeping upright and gives support under shoulders and arms.

Day 8 and sutures out under eye...remaining sutures are all dissolvable. Swelling starting to subside but still a bit lumpy under the chin area. Corner of eyes especially left eye has raised areas where stitches were which I am hoping is only swelling and gently massaging. Will see doctor in one week so will follow up then.
Sleeping on side with minimal discomfort.
Overall surprised how well I have recovered and so far happy with result. Can start to wear makeup I have been told so that will be a positive as feel quite naked with out it...

Only just seeing these photos for the first time, and have to say You look fantastic.! I can really see the difference. Congratulations, it was worth all the worry! You must be so pleased. almost no bruising, and swelling looks minimal. Brilliant! [RS bleep]

Yes I am so surprised as I normally bruise easily so expected several weeks of bruising...bought a bag of scarfs but not needed. Day 11 and only a small bruising under eyes which is easily covered with makeup....my neck is still a little lumpy but otherwise healing has been so quick.
Corner of left eye only concern but will see dr next Monday so will see what he thinks....hope I don't need any revision work on it! It seems like it is pulling the upper eye down a bit.
But certainly no regrets as yet.
