Tray 9

Starting to see some changes! Had Propel done again last week, hurt even worse than the last time. I can't say I'd recommend the treatment to anyone. I won't be doing it again.

Tray 3

I'm almost at the end of week 3 now, will switch into tray 4 on Wednesday. The first few days were the worst, but now it's pretty managable. My trays are definitely not invisible. People at work, the place where I volunteer and also clerks at the grocery store have asked me if I'm wearing Invisalign and what my experience has been like. I also have a noticable change in speech. I just keep telling myself that this is only supposed to be 6 months so it will be worth it in the end. :D

Hi! I thought I would start a little Invisalign...

Hi! I thought I would start a little Invisalign blog to document what is supposed to be a short journey with Invisalign. Yesterday I received my first sets of trays, had some IPR done between two teeth, got some attachments added to my teeth and also had a Propel treatment done. I had read a bunch of reviews on here about how terrible IPR is, but to be honest, it was quick and I didn't mind it too much. Flossing between those teeth is now a breeze! :) As for the attachments, that was also a quick and easy process, but I will say that I was a little bummed to find out I had an attachment on one of my front teeth. Without the trays in, the attachments are virtually invisable, but with the trays in, you can definitely see it as the space for the attachments on the tray make a small bubble. Oh well, small price to pay in the long run. The last thing I had done was the Propel treatment. Ow. For those who don't know what Propel is, it's a device that makes small perforations in your gums to speed up treatment times. They tried numbing my gums with some sort of gel but it wasn't working so in the end they gave me shots of Lidocaine and even with that I could still feel the holes being drilled into my gums. Not a pleasant experience but well worth it if it's cutting my Invisalign time in half. I left the dentists office not being able to feel my mouth and looking a bit like grumpy cat. I immediately went to the nearest Walgreens and got Tylenol to help curb some of the pain. I waited until going to bed last night to put in my trays and I woke up this morning feeling a little better. My gums are suuuuuper sore and my teeth are very tender (it took me over an hour to eat my lunch) but I am confident that this will all get better! Anyway, I will provide updates throughout my treatment. I have 24 trays for the bottom teeth and 23 trays for the top. With Propel I should be done with Invisalign in about 6 months! So excited to see the end result!
