THINK HARD BEFORE GOING INTO SURGERY. CAN CAUSE MORE COMPLICATIONS

$8,000
I wish i could say i am better but i am still dealing with struggles from the surgery like ear ringing and even more stuffiness then before. I wish doctors were more about the patients needs then just about money. I honestly woud of just gave him the money to keep if he would of let me know of the more possible complications. Health is the most important part of life

BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE GOING INTO SURGERY AS IT DANGEROUS. ALSO DONT EXPECT YOUR RESULTS TO LOOK LIKE THE MORPH AS THAT IS A BUSINESS SCAM. ALSO DONT EXPECT YOUR NOSE TO BECOME STRAIGHT EVEN THOUGH HE SAID IT WOULD BE. I FEEL BETRAYED AS A PATIENT AND PERSON. I DONT KNOW HOW DOCTORS LIE TO OUR FACE

Hello lovemeformysoul,

I'm very sorry to hear about your misfortunes with your procedure. I'm always thrilled to see men post their experiences on realself. It takes a lot to share your story and add pictures for the world to see. Most men feel plastic surgery is for woman and don't get it, or don't share their story. Thanks for sharing your experience on realself. Many people with similar problems will definitely benefit from your story.

I had Minor Rhinoplasty 29 days ago with a Dr. Manish Shah. I had Radix Augmentation with a Medpor Implant for my Horizontal Glabellar Crease. It was a success, I'm fully recovered but my skin is still tightening. It will take months before my skin is tight and back to normal.

I wish you the best on your road to recovery. You always have the realself community, if you ever need support.
thanks so much for sharing your experience with rhinoplasty
wishing you healing as you continue on this journey
i totally agree with exactly what u said. I wouldn't care if i had lost the money if only i was told about the real complications and side effects of rhino. Im so sorry that you're going thru this but i know exactly how u feel so know you're not alone.
I'm sorry for what happened to you.

What exactly did he do, and why do you think this happened? Have you ever gone to an ENT?

Honestly you might have something like ear wax build up. The eustachian tube in the nose is connected to the ear canal....that frequently happens to me and causes great misery.

Did you ever get operative notes? Do you actually feel like your airway is too narrow?

Becareful and realize the trauma you'll bring upon your body

I came in mainly looking to breathe better because It had been troubling me for so long. Now I can rarely sleep and have titinitus 24/7. Also makes it hard to focus all day from a lack of sleep(which also causes depression). Make sure to really realizing that you are harming your body for a possibly better look. No matter how good you look on the outside you can't be happy without feeling good inside. I'm am hoping to be better one day but everyday is a battle. I mainly wrote this to help out you guys who haven't gone through the procedure yet. Don't believe all these non sense reviews written. Who wouldn't do that trying to sell a service(rhinoplasty). Work on your inner self and that will make you feel more beautiful then ever

I hope you feel better and are able to sleep better soon! Have you talked to your doctor about not being able to sleep? You look great!
thank you!!! wish i felt the same on the inside. i have and he said i could do a revision but idk about that. more cutting up and burning turbinates dont sound like a good idea to me
Im so sorry to hear about your outcome and experience. I wish there were more reviews like this before i went in for surgery. The surgeons just dont warn you about the negative outcomes that could happen and i think as a patient its our right to know. How did you develop tinnitus? Was it from rhino?
i believe its from me not properly sleeping due to my surgery. It developed a month after. All the negative reviews get deleted or pushed down to the bottom. This site a is a business first. No way 84% people are happy with nose jobs when sooo many people get revisions or complications later down the line
I think its more like 50%. So many fake profiles on here that make it 84%. I realised this too late though. Are you on any medication? Certain medication can cause tinitus. I started to do a bit of research and since I was on a high dose of anti depressant and developed major ringing in the ears when i went back down it stopped. You would be surprised how many meds cause tinitus, even antibiotics. Hope this helps. I wish u all the best
I totally agree. I did not see your review and I went to Dr. Pontell, and I hate my nose and feel like he just told me a bunch of lies to get my money
Have you talked to your Dr about your problems?
yes. He told me he would do a revision but idk if im willing to take any more risks with surgery. its more a functional issue i had before then structure which i sadly realized afterwards
I'm sorry I hope there is something that can be done for you!
Please get operative notes. He needs to say EXACTLY what he plans to do, and you need go consult a few other doctors first. It's pretty clear your nasal bones widened after the hump was taken out. It looks crooked, too. Read this young woman's review. http://www.realself.com/user/640595 This is not a functional issue. If it started after the surgery, trust me--it's related to the surgery. Go to someone else, even for the consults. You are not the only patient on this board that underwent breathing changes when a hump was altered. I'm actually amazed how many there are.
I'm sorry to hear about your functional problem. I hope it improves in time. was your surgeon also an ENT specialist??
hi friend...I'm so sorry to hear you are having these problems since your surgery. Depression and lack of sleep can completely disrupt your life. I want to strongly encourage you to see a doctor though about these symptoms, as they may be unconnected to your surgery. I myself suffered from mysterious and random health issues for years and went to doctor after doctor, test after test, only to find "nothing". I then changed my diet on a friend's suggestion, and it changed my life. My depression went away, my skin cleared, my joint and muscle pain largely disappeared, and I could focus again. It may be connected to your surgery, but it also may not. Keep on searching until you find out how to make yourself better-- you can do it!

Although it's not perfect it's deff an improvement

I do like the cosmetic changes even though it did take time to get use to it. I still do not see any improvement breathing wise and if anything it has gotten worse then before the procedure. I feel it has a lot to do with post nasal drip and hope it does get better with time. It can be so tough at times that it's almost impossible to fall asleep. I'm still trying to keep a positive mindset and hope It gets better with time. If anyone has any tips on how to deal with it that would be a great help. Thank you!

Looks great to me :) But I, too, see a difference in my eyes. I feel like I have hollows that shouldn't be there since I'm only 21. Hopefully with time they will fill back out.
Thanks! Yours looks great as well. Did you get a revision because I saw a different review under your name at first but then it became a positive one. Also how straight do you feel your nose is? I feel like it's more of an illusion then actually moving it lol
I too think my eyes are more hollow looking also
