Hope After 2 Vaginal Delivery Looseness

Energetic179923
WORTH IT$4,500

After having had 2 vaginal deliveries, one of which was a 9-lber, I was pretty mortified that things had changed for me down there. First, my husband made comments (not in a mean way and possibly only after I bugged him) about how it DID feel looser especially after our second child. There also were a lot of air noises that would happen during sex such was awful. I also noticed that tampons kind of gently slid out whereas before, I had to tug on them a good amount to get them out.

I started looking into my options and I was convinced I needed a vaginoplasty although I hoped that a perineoplasty might also be enough. Oh, I also had developed a really annoying anal skin tag at some point which I absolutely hated and was so embarrassed about so I was looking to get that removed as well.

I booked a consultation, went in, and saw Dr. Brady. She examined me and was very thorough about the state of things and her recommendations. Luckily, the perineoplasty was perfect for me. It hasn’t been as much as a breeze or as painless as I thought, but I’m now in recovery day 6 and things are slowly but surely improving. I will update as it heals.

Maybe I thought a perineoplasty was minor and underestimated the pain because I was comparing it to a vaginoplasty which is a much more rigorous procedure. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Give yourself about a good week to mostly sit and lay around. Like all day. It hurts to move, to sit, stand up, and especially to bend down to pick stuff up which I do a lot of due to my toddler. Expect to rest and if you can, get someone to help you with little ones during this time.

how is sex now ? I am scheduled for this surgery and have not enjoyed sex really since giving birth- no friction no feeling just way to "stretched out" - wondering if sex is better for you and your husband

I noticed that none of the reviews mention anything after the healing process and seen the results. Is anyone actually tighter? Does sex feel good? I need to know this before I consider anything like this.

2 weeks post op

I realized I forgot to talk about my experience with the office of Dr. Brady itself. Everyone that I encountered was teeming with kindness and professionalism. Dr. Brady was so informative and really took the time to listen to and validate any concerns. The experience provided by this doctor and office was top-notch. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Now, I noticed that the general soreness and pain that had been consistent went away after about Day 9/10. I was able to walk and sit and do most things without feeling any kind of pain. The only exception being bathroom trips. I do definitely recommend everyone take their pain meds and stool softeners. I think my experience might be more uncomfortable than if you were to just have had a perineoplasty alone, because my skin tag removal area becomes irritated and hurts/bleeds after every single BM. I think it’s still a little swollen too, but I was warned about swelling beforehand by Dr. Brady. It’s just so uncomfortable, but I’m hoping that goes away soon. I always wash off afterwards with soap and water using a handheld shower spray. I’m still spot bleeding, especially after bathroom trips so I’m still using thin pads. I took some pictures just to get a peek at things and I can see my stitches.. I’m not sure if that’s normal or not at this point but I will call and ask the office tomorrow. So far, my takeaway is make sure you have help with little ones for the first 5-7 days, use ice packs (lifesaver especially at first), take pain meds, and take stool softeners. It’s too early for me to know anything about results yet. Still healing at this point.

Close up week 1: swollen and painful but ok
Close up week 2: not as painful but uncomfortable bathroom trips and visible stitches
