Perfect Rhinoplasty and Chin Lipo
WORTH IT
My experience with Dr. Undavia was exceptional, the process from pre-op to post-op went better than I imagined.
Pre-op: I don't live in the area but the office was easily accessible from the nyc area. The consultation was free and I was able to see simulated post-op results during that consultation. I also received a sinus surgery since I suffer from chronic migraines it was possible that my sinuses were contributing to that. The sinus surgery was also partially covered by insurance. Dr. Undavia's rate was very reasonable. The appointment scheduling was hassle free and the front desk staff were readily available to answer any of my questions.
Surgery: The day of the surgery went as smoothly as I had hoped. Before the surgery Dr. Undavia briefly goes over what he will do and makes sure you're completely comfortable. Once the surgery is done, Dr. Undavia will call your contact to let them know how it went. The day of the procedure is a bit rough but with the right care and sinus rinses, the healing is fairly quick within a few weeks. I recommend taking the week off since you might not be up for moving around so much. Dr. Undavia mentioned that during my sinus surgery he found pus build up. I'm so relieved that he was able to get that out. My breathing has improved since. The chin lipo and buccal fat removal also helped my face look more balanced. I was sent home with a head band to wear for a week to tighten my chin which helped.
Post-op: A week after the surgery the nose cast comes off. I was told my nose will be very swollen which is understandable during recovery so there was no cause for alarm. My other incisions were also removed and Dr. Undavia cleaned my nose with a tiny nasal vacuum. That felt amazing! The healing continues post-op for a few months, rinses are recommended for the first three weeks. The swelling and bruising decreased gradually. I was also given the option for an oral and injectable steroid to reduce the swelling. Both worked and helped the healing process. Results change for the first year since the nose gets more refined.
It's been an interesting process for sure and I got to experience it with my close friend that got her rhinoplasty a few days before me! She actually recommended Dr. Undavia to me and I'm so glad I trusted her advice!
