Caring, Conpetent, and Personable Doctor.

I have waited a long time to write this review, mostly because it took so long to realize just how impactful Dr. Brown’s amazing work has been in my life. In one month it will be the two year mark of the night I was attacked by a pit bull. Both of my lips, and nose had been affected by a single “warning” bite. After going to the emergency room at 4 in the morning immediately after the incident, I was processed and advised to see Dr. Brown because the E.R. doctor was not as confident in his own abilities to try and repair my face, from a cosmetic perspective. I went to Dr. Brown’s office at 8 AM the same morning, and he was able to do an emergency stitching of my lip before he even started his scheduled work for the day. Not only was he considered reliable and competent by the ER doctor, he was personable too. I remember when he injected the antisthetic into my upper lip, and I, still being a bit Intoxicated from the night prior, said, “Owwwww. It feels like you’re stabing a giant needle through my face.” And he warm-heartedly said with a slight chuckle, “I am!” It was funny, and that attitude made the process a lot more bareable. I honestly felt he wanted to help me and that he was doing just as good a job with me as any other patient I had just been sitting in the waiting room with. He must have made at least 35 stitches after that. Each very small, and very meticulously stitched with the steady hand of an outstanding young, yet practiced surgeon. He was able to stitch my lip back together, and then taught me about how scar tissue formed in order to make sure that I knew exactly how and why, to take care of my surgical site for the entire next year. I am so very thankful to have him as my doctor for this case. Not only has my lip healed, but I am extremely happy with the results, given what mutilation could have resulted from this tragedy. I mean, I could have had a cleft lip after that! Instead, I now only have a small scar on and above my left upper lip which is unnoticeable when I smile, and easily covered up with lipstick and a normal application of foundation. Cannot be more grateful for this doctor, or more happy with the results of his work.
