I had stomach reduction surgery 3 years ago. Since the surgery, I have lost 175lb and I have become an avid runner, running 5 and 10Ks. The weigh lost left me with a large amount of skin on my stomach and skin that hung off my abdomen. I have worked very hard to get into shape, but nothing fit right, and the skin made me look heaver than I was. I wish I had done it sooner. I am about 9 months out from my surgery, and my clothing fits better, and I am finally able to wear the right size. There is some scarring, but that is to be expected. It is still much better than when I had the skin.

This is the second surgery I have had with Dr. Wages (he did a breast reduction for me almost 12 years ago). I was very pleased with the level of care he showed, as well as the result he got. I had spoken to other surgeons, and while Dr. Wages as slightly more expensive, I did not need to stay in the hospital overnight and I did not come home with a pain pump or drains. The result I got was beautiful. I am so glad I did this, and I am glad I chose Dr Wages to do the surgery. I highly recommend him.
